Good news for fans of FOX's long-running Sunday staples, as The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers have all been renewed for at least two more seasons a piece.

The animated comedy shows, which are now owned by Disney following the Mouse House’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox's assets a few years ago, will remain on the network through the 2024-25 broadcast cycle for The Simpsons’ 36th season, Family Guy’s 23rd and Bob’s Burgers’ 15th.

“With this trio of renewals, we celebrate excellence in animation on Fox, our wonderful, longtime partnership with 20th Television and the brilliant creators and incredible voices behind these forever favorites,” said Fox scripted president Michael Thorn (via THR). “Three-plus decades of The Simpsons, more than two decades of Family Guy and over a decade of Bob’s Burgers proves the enduring power of the animation genre on our network and the infinite fan affinity for these outrageously funny comedy classics."

“Across 750 episodes of The Simpsons, 400 episodes of Family Guy and 250 episodes of Bob’s Burgers, we couldn’t be more proud to continue delivering these three animated hits with the most brilliant teams in animation. Our relationship with Fox over the past three decades has allowed this trio of shows to thrive, grow and deliver immeasurable moments of hilarious and irreverent entertainment for fans, and we are absolutely thrilled that Fox is doubling down on each of these iconic shows,” added Marci Proietto, exec vp 20th Television Animation.

Though the renewals aren't particularly surprising, it's worth noting that ratings for all of these shows have been on the decline for a while now, so it's entirely possible that these upcoming seasons could be the last for one or possibly even all three.

@mountainman - quit watching the simpsons over 10 years ago and family guy a few years ago. Just got boring. Bob's Burgers seems to be heading that way also.

@supermanrex - consider this, its death opens up room for something better. they only have so many slots on their animation block.

been past its prime for most of its run.

really only good thing left on that block is bobs burgers

I just don't understand.

I watched the first few seasons of the Simpsons then stopped. Did the same for Family Guy.

Now that both have like 48 seasons and im just not watching 2,734 episodes of Family Guy or the Simpsons.... like ever. My brain would rot.

@TheVandalore - Simpson's first season is rough but gets much better in the second season. Gold standard Simpsons is seasons 3-8, with a slow decline for a while. then goes to complete shit after the movie

tried rewatching family guy myself a while back, did not hold up that well, not even the golden years
