In Superman vs. The Elite, Superman's effectiveness as a super hero comes into question when a new group of super powerful crusaders, known as "The Elite," appear on the scene. As super heroes, the Elite know no bounds, and are more than willing to kill, even on a massive scale, to stop villainy -- putting them on a collision course with the ever-ethical, yet preferably non-lethal Man of Steel.

DC always has good cartoon movies, this one should be good too.

I wish Marvel would do more.

See?
Instead of saying "DC Universe Original Animated Movie" on the top of it, it says "DC Comics Premiere Movie".
End of an era, yo.

I hope this one is better than that last one, "Doom". That one was a stinker.

DC's animated movies are almost always very good, so I'll definitely be watching it.

I also wish Marvel would do more animated features.

This looks good to me. I'm a fan of the Avngers cartoon and the art is similar. I'm in! I've liked and own all but like one of these.

How can an animated feature have worse (not that's real bad) animation than a cartoon series like Young Justice? The animation in Young Justice is top notch ... this is just OK.

Gee another Superman animated flick. How original I wonder what the next DC animated flick is going to be.
Hmmmnnnn I'll take a blind guess... Batman! DC/Warner Bros. Could you please grow a pair a do something else and stop worrying about if it is going to sell or not how about Metal Men?

@Newtsy-What was so bad about Justice league doom? Justice league doom was one of the best DC animated movies. The story of Batman having secret plans of immobilizing his teammates and the secret plans being used by villains, is an original story, that is not seen in comics.

Also, the moment between Batman and Superman at the end, was sooooo touching.

@jonedc-At least DC is making animated movies. Unlike, Marvel who are sitting on their asses.

@Gusto: You should build an animal justice league pic series, your last team up was great :D

@Action, Your comment, when you said "marvel is just sitting on their asses"......You should be slapped across the face. "bitch" slapped in a matter of fact. How is Marvel sitting on their asses when they released Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Incredible Hulk, Captain America, and now The Avengers which just broke The Dark KNights record. If it's anyone who is sitting on their asses, it's DC. DC relies on batman superman, and animation. Marvel came out with 3 films last year, DC came out with one, and it flopped. Get your facts right you damn nolanite.

@action yeah comix beat me to putting the smack down on you. Marvel has been sitting on their asses making a billion dollar movie like the Avengers! But I got to give props where props is due. DC does make better animated flicks than Marvel. But what would you choose successful animated flicks or Billion dollar movies. Action sounds like you think the smart choice is the animated flicks.
nice choice Sherlock.

The story in Justice League Doom actually came from the comics. And the original story was much better. What exactly was the plan with Green Lantern in that movie? And the Kryptonite bullet was a cop out. I get that they only had 74 minutes, but meh. Overall I enjoy DC's animated stuff over Marvel's (Loved Crisis on Two Earths). Planet Hulk was good though. I'd like to see some more Marvel stories in animated form like Infinity Gauntlet, Civil War, Onslaught (yup I said Onslaught). I'm also waiting for a better Avenger's cartoon. This new one has some good points, but it's mostly just ok. That theme song has got to go.

So we had a bakers dozen DCU-AOMs.
3 Batmans,
3 Justice Leagues,
2 Superman/ Batmans,
2 Supermans,
2 Green Lanterns,
1 Wonder Woman.

I thought Doom was the weakest of the DC animated bunch. Bane decides burying Batman alive is better than killing him? And he is supposed to be a genious? The best thing to take out Superman is a Kryptonite bullet? Was that not in the Superman/Batman movie against Metallo? Green Lantern is taken out by a group of robot miners? There was so much wrong with that one, I am suprised they let it out, considering the quality and storylines of the others.

@Comix-I did not mean marvel is sitting on their asses when it comes to movies and comics. I was commenting on Marvel putting out animated movies. Thats why when, jonedc said " Gee another Superman animated flick. How original I wonder what the next DC animated flick is going to be." I was made a comparison between DC making animated movies and Marvel not coming out with much animated movies.

I liked all of DC animated movies except for GL: Emerald Knights. Too much bad voice acting in that movie. But I enjoyed the Abin Sur and the girl GL stories though. They were awesome.

Looks like I am going to enjoy this one so far.

What are some of Marvel's animated movies besides the hulk one's? Planet Hulk was alright to me. The story was too predictable. Hulk Vs. was alright. The Thor story was great with Loki's plot. Great plot. The Wolverine one was straight up pointless just to have a all out action one.

hmmm will see. it doesn't seem up to DCs usual quality. Is this a direct to DVD/Blueray or a tv series. it seems like low quality cheap tv animation

@NextHero08- Superman: Doomsday the weakest??? You're on [frick]ing crack

This looks so horrible.

DC definitely has the better animation but whatever. And Superman Doomsday was the weakest. Doomxfactor, you may be on crack. If it had had Man Of Steel, Superboy, Cyborg, Last Son and whatever like the comic did, it would have been the best. The only good part was the fight between Superman and Doomsday. Once that was over it was garbage.

I really enjoyed Justice League Doom also.

Philvis - 5/22/2012, 11:12 PM
@doomxfactor, it looks like me and NextHero08 are smoking crack together. Superman: Doomsday was the one DC animated film I didn't like at all. I thought the story wasn't that great (still don't understand the hype behind the Doomsday story), the voice actors didn't fit, and the animation style for Superman was bad and distracting.

Generally, I like all the DC animated films. Where they lack in live action films, they make up in the animated movies/shows. I do wish they would expand them out further. The Green Arrow short was great, and I think he would make a good movie. Flash would be great, as well as many of the others.
