Months ago I shared the sad story that legendary voice actor Tom Kane may be forced into retirement due to a stroke but it was unclear where his condition was and whether it was possible he could recover enough that he could return to voice work. Today though his daughter Sam updated fans to his condition on the actor's facebook to confirm the sad news that Tom indeed has to retire.

Tom of course is known for playing Yoda, Yularen and the Narrator in Clone Wars, Professor Utonium and Him in the Powerpuff Girls, Magneto in Wolverine and the X-Men, Professor X in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Monkey Fist in Kim Possible, he's the voice of the Monorail annoucement at Epcot among so many other works.

We send our well wishes to Tom and his family at this difficult time and thank him for all his years of service.

Sucks, he is only 59.

He also voiced Doctor Loomis in Halloween H20 in the opening

Wonder who will narrate the bad batch now

@dracula - The Bad Batch only had narration for Episode 1. It was done to show the transition from end of Clone Wars to rise of the Empire with Bad Batch. The rest of the show didn't and won't have narration.

Bummer. Artists such as this one are those true workers who have touched many lives unbeknownst to the masses.
