ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: New Stills Focus On Ghost; Hannah John-Kamen Teases Her Villainous Role
In a new batch of stills from Ant-Man and The Wasp, the spotlight is put firmly on Hannah John-Kamen's villainous Ghost while we also have some concept art of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) as Giant-Man...
Ant-Man and The Wasp is right around the corner and following some recent set visit reports, the hype for the sequel definitely appears to be building. Now, we have some new comments from star Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost) and while she refused to reveal anything too specific about her character's motivations, she did at least have a few other things to say about changes made to the villain.
Describing Marvel's decision to gender-swap Ghost as "really, really cool and definitely forward thinking," the actress went on to say that her costume is "absolutely amazing." John-Kamen also confirmed that she did her own stunts! "If you just let your double do everything, you’re not there to help choreograph the movement of your character." That's pretty damn impressive, right?
We also have some very cool new stills from Ant-Man and The Wasp and you can check that out by clicking on the "View List" button below. Once you're done, share your thoughts in the usual place.
As expected, it seems Ghost also wants to get her hands on Hank Pym's miniaturized laboratory and Ant-Man and The Wasp will have to do everything within their power to stop that from happening.
What the villain's motivations are remain a mystery to us but it appears as if she wants into the Quantum Realm, possible to enhance her abilities...or because someone she loves is trapped in there?
One of the crazier theories I've seen is that Bill Foster is Ghost's father and Janet Van Dyne is actually her mother. There are a lot of reasons why the latter point doesn't work but the former actually does.
In this behind the scenes shot from the sequel, we see Ghost seemingly playing around with her powers. There's a chance this could be when she gains her new abilities but what about the suit?
Well, that follows the source material even if this version has been gender-swapped. Hannah John-Kamen is a talented actress, regardless, and it will be fun seeing what she brings to the role.
This gorgeous piece of concept art shows Scott Lang rising from the depths as Giant-Man. I'm pretty sure he's even bigger here than in the comic books because he's literally like a skyscraper.
