Following on from tonight's update on the Jonathan Majors situation, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania actor's attorney - the same one who shared a series of text messages from her client's alleged victim which further incriminated him - has released another statement proclaiming his innocence.
Priya Chaudhry issued a response to the latest round of allegations, which saw multiple alleged abuse victims come forward to meet with the Manhattan district attorney’s office.
"Jonathan Majors is innocent and has not abused anyone," Chaudhry said. "We have provided irrefutable evidence to the District Attorney that the charges are false. We are confident that he will be fully exonerated."
If this "irrefutable evidence" is anything likes those texts, Majors might want to seriously consider hiring some new representation.
Just in case you weren't aware of the situation, Majors was arrested a few weeks ago in New York after allegedly physically assaulting a woman in her 30s (believed to be his girlfriend).
Majors' manager and PR team have already jumped ship, and he's been dropped from several high-profile projects. As of right now, Marvel Studios hasn't taken any action, but it's probably only a matter of time before a rep announces that the role of Kang will be recast.
Majors has already filmed his scenes for the second season of Loki, but isn't scheduled to begin shooting Avengers: The Kang Dynasty until next spring.
