@gulducati - oh yeah I think the Russos even spoke on this, it was felt there was a safe assumption that once Thanos took possession of that one vial, his whole team could've reverse engineered to mass produce it.

But even for the 'present day' stuff, I know at the time in 1970 Steve took enough for what he thought to get back to present day and then to return each of the stones when they were finished, but once all the dusted people were brought back and you get to a point after Tony's funeral has taken place, etc, if nothing else it seemed well within reason to me that Hank Pym himself, now being returned to the living, could've produced a bunch more so that Steve had more than enough with which to go on the trip of returning the stones to the past.

@gulducati - well and not that it's a big deal, but for that matter, I didn't really get why Steve only took 4 vials from Pym's 70's lab. I believe there were at least twice that many in that big glass housing. Even one missing was going to get noticed and possibly send the whole base into red alert (presumably he and Tony zapped out of there before any were discovered at all) so if I'm Steve in the moment, I grab as many as I can get my hands on. god forbid something happens and they have to wind up taking another trip even further from there.

@gulducati - It's funny you say that cause I just started thinking after I posted my reply, to guard against the concept of simply doing this again from here on out in the MCU to fix something, I wonder if they'll go with the narrative that while other members of the team of course would've gotten to be knowledgeable to a certain degree of the machinations of the time travel as End Game played out, but that with Tony having died the final sort of pieces of the puzzle on how to guarantee you'll successfully do it died with him. I mean, not that using it for any given event would be EASY, not at all, but that theoretically it could be used again, but I'd imagine they don't want that "out" to still exist.

And this didn't fully sink in until after multiple views, but I guess part of the 'science' of how the whole machine worked is that time relative to each of those individual teams going on their missions versus the present day was basically irrelevant. That so like if you'd attached a stop watch to each Avenger and started it from zero as they all dove into the breach, while it seems likely that, say, Thor and Rocket accomplished their task in 2013 Asgard within no more than a couple hours at most, meanwhile the direct passage of time that Tony and Steve were experiencing while on their mission(s) probably went upwards of AT LEAST 6-8 hours, every single team member all still arrived back in the present moment at the exact same time. So it's like time got either scrunched or stretched out per each individual team, depending on the complexity of their task. I think that's pretty damn cool.

@gulducati - oh JFC... I can't believe I had that blatant and giant of a brainfart. I should have to turn in my Marvel fan card after that one... *OF COURSE* the friggin time machine still physically exists after Tony's death, uhh sorta the basis for the whole end of the character arc for Steve Rogers (and I was even the one all proud of myself a couple weeks back for immediately knowing in my first viewing of the film that Bucky was totally aware of what Steve was going to do before he did it, since that was like an 'answer' the Russos felt they needed to give even after and outside of the movie itself)
okay I'm totally taking advantage of the excuse that I got very little sleep last night and have been extremely bothered by a strange and intense sinuses issue lately lol

btw before I finish this one off here, total aside but it's still Avengers related and you're as good a person to ask as anyone.

A fan who made a *very* comprehensive MCU retrospective in the lead up to End Game, over an hour long. I only discovered it at all a few days ago. But there's audio of a Nick Fury line at the very beginning that I can't identify. I tried leaving a comment on the video page, I thought even to the uploader himself, but haven't had a response yet. Do you happen to recognize it? Because while it's similar in tone and content to things that Nick Fury has said in some of the movies before, he's never said THIS EXACT line in the theatrical cut of any MCU movie. It's not even the same line they put of his in that sort of very first rough Infinity War teaser, the one they played for the audience way back at that big Phase 3 titles announcement back in like 2014 or 15.
My best guess otherwise is it's maybe from like part of the bonus features included on one of the blu-rays (maybe even that first big box set they released of all the Phase 1 stuff including the original Avengers)
But do you happen to know for sure?

@captquirk - Yes, I remember that cross over well. My fav was when Hank Pym met Hank McCoy.

@captquirk - If I recall correctly, it was George Perez art. There is also a huge story behind how long it took for JLA/Avengers to happen. It was supposed to happen a decade before that, but it got mired in some really ugly stuff between the two companies. There was an article written by Marvel in Marvel Age that blasted DC for all the delays, then another one written by DC that took great offense.

@Amplified - Yeah, they did screw that up. Cap is ambidextrous, but in the movie he clearly used Mjolnir with his right hand.
