Despite the overwhelmingly negative response to Justice League, Warner Bros. was quick to sign up former Marvel Studios director Joss Whedon to take the helm of Batgirl. That obviously ended up falling apart due to fan backlash but no one could blame the studio for bringing the filmmaker to the DC Films Universe after the success he found with The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

So, after delivering three critical and commercial hits with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War, will the Russo Brothers be tempted over to DC?

During a recent Q&A, one fan asked if they would be interested in adapting a DC Comics property given the differences those movies have to Marvel's and both shrugged off the possibility and pointed out that they were always bigger fans of Marvel over DC growing up. Joe also pointed out that characters from that world always felt too powerful and undefeatable to them and they found it easier to relate to those from the Marvel Universe (something many comic book fans have said over the years).

Joe did say that Batman is an interesting character as he's more human and is so different to his Justice League teammates. Perhaps they can take over The Batman when Matt Reeves inevitably quits!

Marvel has mostly defined itself by having largely character driven stories with protagonists who are human, fallible and relatable.
DC has always struggled more with this. Too much about overly powerful heroes doing cool stuff and/or being 'dark'(in order to hide their more juvenile Golden age heritage).

@FOOM - Well then you didnt read many Dc comics then.Even currently Marvel comics are just trash while DC is kicking ass.Same in animated division and in game industry.

@Omega - And yet what the original poster says rings true to the current state of WB's DC output. He didn't have to read the comics, this is about feature films.
