AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Has Become The Highest Grossing Marvel Movie In China As It Tops $1.85 Billion WW

There's more good news for Avengers: Infinity War today because not only has it become the highest grossing Marvel movie of all-time in China but it's also closing in on the $1.9 billion mark worldwide.

Avengers: Infinity War may have to contend with Deadpool 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story at the box office but there's still plenty of good news for the critically acclaimed ensemble. After earning an incredible $300.6 million in just 10 days, the Russo Brothers helmed release is now officially the biggest Marvel movie to ever hit China, an incredible feat which has helped its worldwide cume in a big way.

Well, I say "helped" but it's not like it actually needed that much assistance because it was already on $1.5 billion before it reached the Middle Kingdom! However, it currently sits at $1.85 billion globally and analysts believe it will pass $1.9 billion over the weekend despite competition from Star Wars

As of right now, there's a very, very good chance that it will be able to pass the $2 billion mark but there are differing opinions in regards to the chances of it overtaking The Force Awakens' $2.068 billion cume. Either way, it's fair to say that Avengers: Infinity War is a massive hit and that Disney and Marvel must be very happy. It's also pretty obvious that this franchise won't actually be going anywhere...

@Humperdink - what's funny is that some of the users on here that have repeatedly brought up the false concept of superhero fatigue are grown adults...I guess it feels good to be foolish??

If this movie hits 2 billion... its over. I mean, what next?

We were all screaming at each other that Avengers 2 would make 2 billion. Batman v Superman would make 2 billion. Justice League would make even more billionz (yes, that really happened in this timeline). But we're finally here now, so what next?

I don't give a shit if this or any other CBM doesn't beat Avatar or Titanic. 2 bil always seemed like the benchmark for CBMs and we're here.

At this point all I want is Infinity War to reach the $2 billion mark. I don't care if it will beat force awakens or not.
