Loki didn't receive a huge amount of screentime in Avengers: Infinity War but his violent death at the hands of Thanos certainly helped set the tone for the movie and made it clear that no one was safe.

Despite that, there's a lot of fan theories doing the rounds that Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief is still alive and that he faked his death the same way as in both Thor and Thor: The Dark World. Throw in the fact that Disney is planning a TV series on its streaming service revolving around the character, and it's looking like he's still alive... right? During a recent convention appearance, Tom Hiddleston simply wasn't saying!

When a fan asked the British actor if Loki could have been a projection or somehow still alive, Hiddleston responded with: "Your guess is as good as mine." Could that mean the villain is still alive? The door has been left open for that by the looks of it and we could get some answers in Avengers 4...

Imagine being at big event, waiting in line for eternity for a question and getting it in before they shut the line down, for possibly the only tome in your entire life, and THIS is the question you wasted. What in the hell answer did you expect?

Loki really came through in the end.

Can't wait to see what's next for him.

@MaximusTheMad - No he didn't. He should have left the tesseract on Asgard when it went kabloom

@Vigor - yeah, everyone rails Star Lord when Loki could have left the cube behind.

@ftf530 - but the cube would have likely survived the destruction of asgard and then thanos would have simply picked it up and then loki would have no bargaining chip to save lives. loki did ok.

@JonC - If Wanda's power could shatter a stone, I highly doubt that the tesseract would have survived the entire planet exploding

I think the Russos/Markus & McFeely wouldn't have let Thanos specifically say "no resurrections this time" if they didn't mean it.

However I think they did that more in response to the... fault, of the Thor movies constantly killing him and bringing him back. I mean I know it was two times but still, it felt repetitive by the time Ragnarok came out.

@Kurne - cant really call it a fault on the thor movies specifically when we know theyre gonna repeat it on a much larger scale in avengers 4.

@Origame - except the deaths just don't work all that well in thor 1 or 2. I think it's fair to say a lot of people are invested in the IW deaths and interested in seeing how they're brought back.

@ftf530 - but clearly the intention was for us to believe that they were legitimate, given how the whole movie is about how death is unavoidable and any response of them coming back is replied by the russos with "move on to the next stage of grief"

If Loki is alive at the end of Avengers 4

Kurne

@regularmovieguy - I feel bad for Hemsworth man. He's had to act out his reaction to Loki dying 3 times, and those can be the cringiest for actors to film.

Loki is def in Avengers 4, the set photos proved that. But it looks like a flashback or something.

@Doomsday8888 - But the Reverse Flash IS dead. It's just a bunch of time remnants running around, isn't it?

You're probably talking about the tv show, but in the comics...it's a lil different. :P

Because they're comics, bro! :P
It's an inside joke just to say that that f*cker always finds a way to come back to life.

@NoAssemblyReqd - That is kinda "breaking"-worthy in the MCU though if you think about it. The actors/interviews have been a major spoiler source in the past (ie Ruffalo, Holland, etc).
