Seth Rollins Wore Amazing Thanos-Inspired Ring Gear At Last Night's WWE SUMMERSLAM

Last night's WWE SummerSlam PPV kicked off with an instant classic featuring Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler and the former's ring gear clearly paid homage to Avengers: Infinity War's lead villain...

There are a lot of similarities between comic books and wrestling, with many wrestlers admitting that they're big superhero fans. Often, they show that by wearing ring gear inspired by some of their favourite characters and during last night's SummerSlam in Brooklyn, New York, Seth Rollins came out to the ring in an outfit which was clearly inspired by Avengers: Infinity War's big bad, Thanos.

As you can see, the boot Rollins uses to deliver his patented superkick and
Curb Stomp finisher was decked out in gold as a homage to the Infinity Gauntlet, a clever idea and one that looks really cool.

The match itself - which saw Rollins battle Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship - was absolutely fantastic and gave anything on the NXT Takeover Brooklyn IV show a run for its money. Rollins ultimately emerged
victorious and it will be interesting seeing how things play out on RAW tonight. What do you think about this Thanos-inspired ring gear? Share your thoughts down below.

Johnny Wrestling had a Venom attire at Takeover on Saturday. He's also worn a Captain America and Ragnarok attire at previous Takeovers.

Maybes not one of the best he's had, but love it when any of the guys on the roster do anything Marvel or DC inspired in their gear.

... and thus, their intentions to create this generation's Darth Vader had proven to be worthy.

The *snap* will go down in history.

Well done, Russos. Well done.

Not a fan of wrestling at all anymore...

but this is really fricking cool. Amazing how Thanos is now a household name, along with the others that you'd never think would be.

@rabid - There was a time, not that long ago, when the vast, VAST majority of the world's population used to ask the same thing of comic book fans. What's your point?

@TheNZNatural - That wrestling is juvenile while many comics transcend classic literature.

Not a big WWE fan, but I read that some guy named Cedric Alexander wore a 'Black Lightning' inspired outfit:
