The Marvel Cinematic Universe fan page on Facebook recently posted this FANTASTIC image of a minion of Loki's Army and it's surprisingly baffling. Check it out:



Some say undead zombie? Definitely not a Frost Giant. I've crossed off Atlanteans from my list. My younger brother believes it's one of Kang's Army.

I must say, after a few dodgy CG shots of Frost Giants in THOR, I'm relieved at how GREAT these guys look in close-up so far! Agree? Disagree?

They do look like what Carlos Fontes has as his avatar...and that the pic is mentioning Malekith, who was the ruler of the Dark Elves...could it be his army Loki is commanding?

Korbinites and Autocrons are on my top list as for now. I'm not an expert of Marvel's alien races, but from what I've seen and read, they could just possibly be these mysterious aliens.



Physically, the Korbinites quite resemble that close-up image of the alien; the shape of the head, the border of the helmet, and the hose-like object on both side of the neck in particular. Sure, the color scheme is different, but who knows if the creators have decided to change it with some reason.



The Autocrons, meanwhile, also have a lot of resemblances to the aliens; bluish gray-skinned, two-toed feet, that kind of headband thing, et cetera. They are also said to possess a massive ship equipped with a warp-drive, which could be the 'dragon' and the 'black hole' respectively, that we've seen in the trailers. I don't have any idea if they are related to The Avengers, however.

I think it's either the Badoon or the Alpha Centaurians. Leaning towards Badoon, however.

Wow. Even with a close-up shot of the aliens, we still can't completely figure it out! That's good advertising, Marvel Studios. I'm surprised you've kept it a secret for as long as you have.
