BATGIRL Stunt Performer Reveals That He Doubled For Killer Moth In The Movie; Shares BTS Photos

Shortly after production on Batgirl got underway, a rumor did the rounds that Killer Moth was set to make his big-screen debut as one of the film's villains. The report stemmed from an IMDB listing so we didn't give it much attention, but it's now been confirmed that the character does (well, did) appear in the now scrapped movie.

Martial artist and Stunt Combat Performer Jules Wallace has taken to Instagram to reveal that he stood-in for Killer Moth (Douglas Russell is believed to have been cast in the role) in Batgirl, and even shared some behind-the-scenes photos featuring the distinctive head tattoo this take on Drury Walker would have sported.

"Doesn't seem much point keeping quiet about this now and sucks we won't get to see it on screen, but here you go," Wallace wrote. "Doubled 'Killer Moth' in Batgirl, along with my pal Stevie who doubled Commissioner Gordon. Quite a long chaotic shoot but we had a great time and glad to see many of the US and European cast and crew left with a love of Glasgow and Scotland."

You can scroll through the snaps below.

Brendan Fraser's Firefly was the principal antagonist, so there's a chance Barbara Gordon (Leslie Grace) would have faced-off against Killer Moth early on in the movie when she was still getting to grips with her new crime-fighting career (he was the first villian Babs defeated in the comics).

We probably will learn some more details about this movie in the coming months, but as of right now, Warner Bros. Discovery has no intention of releasing Batgirl, and there's a good chance it will never see the light of day.

I hope we can get to the “Fantastical” versions of these characters one day, instead of the grounded versions we’ve been getting. The over the top versions made us fans in the first place.

Feel like they could’ve and should’ve easily embraced how ridiculous Killer Moth is. Especially if this is hinting the Burtonverse too.

But even this grounded version isn’t a great grounded version. The New 52 version was right there

Tired of grounding some of these characters though

Also… since Batgirl is obviously an extension from the Snyderverse you’d think the psychotic Snyder cult fans would be trolling, petitioning and blowing up WB Discovery for this to be re-released… I mean released on HBOmax…. And where is Snyder, Fisher and AquaDude to rally the troops? I guess it only matters if it’s they’re part of it.

@slickrickdesigns - I think this movie is more of the Burton-verse than Snyder. Only thing we got from Snyder in this movie is the casting of Gordon and he’s 25 years younger in this movie.

@WruceBayne - if that’s your reasoning then it’s the BurtonSnyderverse. Because Keaton is the “only” actor from the Burton movies and JK Simmons is the “only” actor from the Snyder casted films.
Now on that logic does that make the Flash a burtonverse or Snyderverse tied film?? Only Keaton again from burtonverse but you got Miller, Affleck and others from Snyderverse… so I guess that qualifies as a Snyderverse tie in.

Sooo if Batgirl was set to come out after the Flash does that then make Keatons new/old Batman now tied into the Snyderverse or is it still more of a burtonverse film???
Just curious.
