Ok, so it was announced a while ago that Batman would be appearing in the next Superman film. I've been skeptical about this from the start, not only because I despise Afleck in any CBM (DD), almost as bad as Nick Cage as Ghost Rider, but I feel as if its too soon for World's Finest. Man of Steel did a superb job of fleshing out the story of Clark Kent, his backstory and his evolution into Super-man and yet its nowhere near enough for him to start interacting with other DC characters. Its just not going to work. Super-man should have a few more solo films battling his enemies like Luthor or Brainiac otherwise this series is going to fall apart. Sure there've been "easter eggs" for WayneTech Satellites, but that's hardly a reason to throw Batsy into a Superman movie this early.

Sure they're both popular characters, but I just don't agree with this decision. I've been against it since Snyder announced it and I think its going to bite everyone in the ass. Its no surprise that WB has been trying to compete with Marvel but they've failed miserably. Apart from the Dark Knight Trilogy and Man of Steel other DC movies (Green Lantern) haven't done so good. Man of Steel has the potential to be a really good series since the original movies (1 and 2). Why throw that all away just to put Batman in the movie. Superman needs more time to develop. All we've seen him do was fly around and fight Zod (for once) but he ain't ready for super-hero team ups yet.

Try and understand my perspective before you start hatin'. I would love to see World's Finest on the big screen. I'd love it. I want to see JL on the big screen. But its not going to happen. There's no time whatsoever to give everyone a solo film in time for a 2015 movie release. And seeing as how GL sucked they're going to have to reboot that series, hopefully with a better actor and script and who know when that'll even happen. I'm not holding my breath. GL had potential. His origin is so simple and yet the movie was a bloody mess. WB has no plan for their movies. And throwing Batman into the next Superman film, the first good Super-man film in just about 30 years, which is both good and bad, is only going to hurt the franchise. If WB really wants JL to happen then they really need to stop crying in a corner and make somethin' happen.

WB doesn't need to go the Marvel route with each hero having solo films, but if you look at it, IM 2 had a team up with War Machine and Black Widow. Then Marvl had Thor and Cap before Avengers. So this team up makes since. What we need is a Wonder Woman movie and we will be good before JL. Flash has a show and GL has been done so there is no need for any other solo film. In fact I would be perfectly fine with a JL origin movie with just the trinity and possible cameos of other heroes like Martain Manhunter. I would actually still keep Ryan Reynolds as GL.
