The list of special features for Sam Liu and Bruce Timm's
Batman and Harley Quinn recently surfaced and it revealed the DC animated film that will follow August's direct-to-video flick.
According to the list, discovered by ComicBook.com,
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight will be the latest film created by DC's animated film division. Sound familiar? It should!
Gotham by Gaslight was a DC Comics one-shot written by Brian Augustyn and illustrated by Mike Mignola in 1989. The story centered around the Dark Knight in Victorian times, as he battled against Jack the Ripper.

In an age of mystery and superstition, how would the people of Gotham react to a weird creature of the night, a bat-garbed vigilante feared by the guilty and the innocent alike? The very first Elseworlds tale re-imagines the Dark Knight detective in Victorian times and pits him against the infamous murderer Jack the Ripper.
Due to the success of
Gotham by Gaslight, a sequel was created in 1991 titled
Master of the Future. It is unclear whether or not DC will adapt that comic after "
Gaslight," however, if the animated film has the same amount of success as the comic, you can expect to an announcement shortly after that film is released.
The first sneak peek for
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight will be featured on the
Batman and Harley Quinn DVD, which hits the shelves on
