The character is, luckily, a really great character,” Eisenberg said told MTV News’ “Actors can sometimes find really cool things in characters that aren’t written well. This character is written really well.
Eisenberg was asked about the attention he'll receive for a big blockbuster role, like Luthor?
For a movie like ‘The Double or ‘Night Moves,’ arguably me doing interviews for it is much more important for it than doing an interview for Batman, because there’s not that much money for posters,” Eisenberg explained, “Whereas for Batman, if I was in a coma after it was filmed… So i don’t really see it as that different."
Jessie also explains that he is not an attention seeker like Luthor. “You’re just exposed to more people, so walking down the street is more annoying,” Eisenberg added. That said, the Oscar nominee also thinks that blockbusters are important for an actor’s career. “It’s important to be in those big things,” Eisenberg continued. “I happen to want to do this movie because the character is awesome, but it’s also important to be in those for some kind of longevity.”

I was soooo disappointed with The Double, I was hoping for a glimpse of what he'll be bringing to Lex Luthor, but the film was atrocious.

Still VERY excited for what he will do with the road, just wish I had stopped going through his films at Now You See Me...

When Jesse talks about BvS it sounds a lot like Glenn Close talking about GOTG. Extremely disinterested. "Yea, I'm doing it cuz I have to". And when he says the character is awesome it sounds forced.

Oh well. At least Ben Affleck is an actual fan of the material.

@Nomis

you know, you ask a good question, but i think that's exactly why he was cast...because he is able to project that sort of intellectual superiority / arrogance in the face of someone who could snap his neck. ..(and yes as a lifelong Superman fan, I very much this movie to work even though it looks like Superman guest-starring in his his own sequel..)

@Nomis

exactly, we're on the same page.......I so hope that part of how Lex goes after Superman is to attack his sense of failed responsibility (e.g. the destruction / death it took to stop Zod) and that the first movie didn't happen in a vacuum. Somehow to tie that in with Bruce Wayne taking an interest (Rebuild Metropolis? or is that too obvious a story angle to introduce him?)....... I can see how the sequel leverages Lex & Bruce while building off Man of Steel 1; but I'll feel much better when we get some official story details! (e.g. like Nukem said, SDCC)
