That BLACK CAT/SILVER SABLE Movie May Be Coming Sooner Than Expected

Sony Pictures is forging ahead with its plans for a shared Spider-Man Universe (seemingly sans Spider-Man), and it appears Black Cat/Silver Sable is being put on the fast track with Venom!

Venom is set to be released next October and it was recently reported that the movie is expected to start shooting this Fall. Well, the same source that gave us that news now claims that the Black Cat/Silver Sable movie will also begin production around the same time!

Assuming these take place in the same shared universe (presumably not the Marvel Cinematic one), then this would certainly be a good way to help build connectivity between the two and possibly even lead to some unexpected cameo appearances, though these characters aren't exactly the most natural fits for each other's respective adventures.

Regardless of your feelings on Sony's plans for Venom and this female-led
spinoff, it's exciting to think that we can add two more superhero movies to the jam packed 2018 even if it will be frustrating for there to be no sign of Tom Holland's Spider-Man in either one of them!

Still, with casting no doubt beginning soon, we could learn much more about each of these sooner than expected. For now, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.

Yes Sony. Sow the seeds of descent. Let the hate flow through you. Destroy the MCU and all it stands for. Muhahahahahahaha!!!!

"If you're nothing Without the suit then you shouldn't wear it"???? Hmmm, great advice from the guy who's superpower is literally his suit.

@Oberlin4Prez - Without the suit, Stark's still a genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist though.

@MonsieurCringe - I wish Cap would be the one saying that...but...it's completely in character with Tony. HE is Iron Man, not the suit.
seriously we had an entire movie about that

I am so split by this. I would love to see these characters in spin-off films, but have it set in the mcu, dont just do your own thing. God sony is like that kid from school that doesnt know jack shit, but gets paired on a project with the really smart kid (marvel studios) who knows what he's doing, but instead of doing the right thing which is to let the person who knows what they are doing do all the work and just put their name at the top when its done, they want to try and take it over. This is my hell.

@CurlyBill - so, what I'm hearing from this is... No Spidey for Sony and no venom for the MCU? I would have loved to see venom/carnage in Marvel's wheelhouse and it sucks that by process of deduction we can rule them out in future MCU films.
Why doesn't miles take Sony's Spidey shoes? That way we can have an ultimate and 616 verse and everybody will be happy -. Well as happy as one can get with all these damn rights and little regard for source material pish posh

Hmmm well if they're gonna do it, I hope they get a great director and cast, and have strong ambition. Legion and Logan have spoiled me, I expect a lot from superhero films from here on ojt. And I love Venom and Black Cat. Don't know anything at all about Silver Sable. Would love Dan Stevens for Venom. Maybe Enilia Clarke for one of the ladies? We know she can rock that hair. Or Mary Elizabeth Winstead? Daisy Ridley or Alison Brie would be cool too. Actually yeah, Alison Brie would make a great Black Cat.
