BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Promo Art Reveals First Look At Riri Williams' Mark I Ironheart Armor

The latest Black Panther: Wakanda Forever promo art has revealed a first look at the Ironheart Mark I armor that's constructed by Riri Williams in this November's Black Panther sequel. Check it out here!

By Nighthawk01 - Jul 05, 2022 10:07 AM EST

We have to believe the first Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer is on the way, and it would be a real surprise for it to not arrive in theaters alongside Thor: Love and Thunder this Thursday.

Now feels like the right time to drop an official sneak peek, anyway, particularly as more promo art from the film has found its way online. This is a little different to previous "Leaks, " as it's artwork typically used for reference by toy companies that produce merchandise such as Funko Pops and action figures.

After early looks at Shuri's new outfit, Namor the Submariner, and characters such as Attuma and Namora, this latest piece of promo art reveals Riri Williams' Mark I Ironheart armor. Red and blue, it's very much an exoskeleton you can imagine a genius like Riri would figure out how to piece together at an institute like MIT. Tony Stark would be proud, anyway, and Iron Man has clearly inspired Riri.

We won't be sharing the art here, though you can find it by heading to the r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers page on Reddit.

Thinking about it, we have to believe that access to Wakandan tech will be what leads to Riri building a suit that's a little sleeker and more in line with her comic book counterpart. Whether that's something we'll see in the Black Panther sequel is tricky to predict, especially as Ironheart has a Disney+ series right around the corner with Dominique Thorne reprising the role.

That show is sheduled for a 2023 or 2024 release, while Black Panther: Wakanda Forever remains on track for a November 11 debut in movie theaters. At this rate, we can't help but wonder how soon some promo art will reveal the MCU's new Black Panther...

@ShimmyShimmyYA - So, it's a Gundam, but looks like a gouf.

I'm ready for it.

@ShimmyShimmyYA - Looks amazing, much better than her first suit in the comic. Wanna see her make her pink suit, that one is epic

@ShimmyShimmyYA - reminds me of Samus, from the Metroid franchise.

@ShimmyShimmyYA - wasn't Tony's Mark 1 also bulky?

I wonder if we’ll get anything official, maybe even a teaser trailer to go with Love and Thunder?

Uh... Definitely has some heft to it.

So we're getting her iron man 1 story here, on top of the conflict with Atlantis and the battle for the cowl story they kinda need to include to get past tchalla not being here. This is sounding overcrowded as f@#$. Might just skip it on the basis I don't want to see such a promising franchise crash and burn like this.

@Origame - origame I want to see 1 positive comment from you. One of these days
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 7/5/2022, 11:06 AM
@Origame - not the first time a hero has to deal with a kid right next to a major conflict. Hawkeye and Doctor Strange prepared me for this.

@Vigor - you don't go on articles about the boys, do you?
Origame
Origame - 7/5/2022, 11:18 AM
@bkmeijer1 - I mean, neither of those characters are really the glorified cameos riri seems to be here. America was the macguffin on the movie and Kate bishop was just as much the star of hawkeye as Clint was.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 7/5/2022, 11:26 AM
@Origame - maybe Riri is gonna be a major part of the plot too. So far we know very little about Wakanda Forever, so maybe she too will be what is gonna set the whole plot in motion.

@bkmeijer1 - if it is then that's definitely where the overcrowding comes into play.

@Vigor - Seriously! I don’t come into the comments often but when I do this @Origame person is always on some negative Nancy shit. Smh
Origame

@Variant - ...then don't do it.
Variant
Variant - 7/11/2022, 10:38 PM
@Origame - A better alternative would be that I still come here and provide more positive dialogue and you go do something else that makes you happy. This site would better benefit from that.
Origame
Origame - 7/11/2022, 10:42 PM
@Variant - you're assuming this isn't something I like to do. Also, the fact you by admission admit to not go into the comment section often implies you don't find that particularly enjoyable. So how about you find something that makes you happy.
Variant
Variant - 7/12/2022, 12:01 AM
@Origame - You would be quite wrong. If I could talk about comic books and CBMs all day I would. Because it's fun and MOST people are decent and know how to have fun with it. Even if they have differing opinions. However, I'm very busy with work and don't have a lot of time to jump into the comments. So much for YOUR assumption...

As for MY assumption, you are correct. I typically don't think people enjoy being negative all the time. I suppose I don't understand what they get out of it. Is constantly criticizing really enjoyable?

Out of curiosity, what do you do for work?
Origame
Origame - 7/12/2022, 6:13 AM
@Variant - first of all, I'm not always negative here.

Second, it's a combination of venting my frustration at certain choices made as well as sharing my thoughts on how things could improve.

Third, I'm a teacher. Trained in math, but I've been working as a building sub for a while.
Variant
Variant - 7/12/2022, 9:14 AM
@Origame - I think that's really great. I have a lost of respect for teachers.

I'm not trying to pick a fight but if I'm being honest it seems like you're always negative. And I see a lot of people here remarking on that. And look, I get it. MCU especially has been a bit under the microscope lately. It's easy to scrutinize them right now. For example, I was a big fan of Ragnarok but L&T left me a little confused. So I'm right there with you. (Have you seen it yet?) I just think there's still so much to appreciate despite any of the eye roll moments.
Origame
Origame - 7/12/2022, 9:39 AM
@Variant - thanks.

But to your main point, you and the people who keep claiming to never see me positive really don't see a lot of what I post. For example, we just got through the boys season 3 and I've constantly been praising that series here. The problem though is that franchises like star wars and the mcu have taken a huge hit in quality and are the ones mainly being discussed here.

oh wow, looks very utilitarian and basic, which is a nice change of pace after all the nanotech stuff.

The1st - 7/5/2022, 10:17 AM
@Spidey91 - Makes sense I guess for a 1st attempt I guess, remember Tony's? I think Armor Wars is when it gets streamlined to be more in line with the comics. Might also look that way due to the events of Wakanda Forever.
TheSuperMex
TheSuperMex - 7/5/2022, 11:30 AM
@Spidey91 - I miss the transformation scenes from before Age of Ultron.

Spidey91
Spidey91 - 7/5/2022, 11:40 AM
@TheSuperMex - I mean, it makes sense for Tony that he eventually developed a way to suit-up anywhere and anytime since it's not practical for a superhero of his caliber to have to be in his home to do it but yeah, the suit-up sequences were some of the coolest moments of the earlier movies.
Blastaar
Blastaar - 7/5/2022, 10:16 AM
NO THANKS, they could've made her a character based on ALL her OWN ideas, not a shadow of Tony Stark(basically a token character).
