BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Stills Include The MCU's New Black Panther, M'Baku, And Namor The Submariner

Marvel Studios has released a new gallery of stills from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever highlighting key characters and moments from the upcoming sequel, including Shuri suited up as Black Panther...

Earlier this week, tickets for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever went on sale. That news was accompanied by a new trailer and a whole gallery of posters, and Marvel Studios has now shared some awesome stills from the sequel.

Some are essentially trailer screengrabs, while others are the official hi-res versions of those recent Entertainment Weekly photos (minus any pesky watermarks). A closer look at Shuri suited up as the MCU's new Black Panther is welcomed, as are shots of characters like M'Baku, Queen Ramonda, and Okoye.

Perhaps the most intriguing still shows Shuri in the flooded throne room surrounded by fire; could this be the moment she figures out how to restore Wakanda's Heart-Shaped Herb and become the new Black Panther? If so, that obviously opens the door to other heroes potentially inheriting the mantle from the fallen T'Challa.

M'Baku remains a firm fan-favourite for that role, though we knew from the start that there might come a time when Shuri became Black Panther. That's obviously just happened considerably sooner than expected, and all eyes will now be on Letitia Wright to see if the actress can do Chadwick Boseman justice.

We're keeping our fingers crossed she does.

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.

As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of Talokan, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, directed by Ryan Coogler, opens in theaters on November 11.

I can see that Ryan Coogler puts a lot of time into the set designs and the look of the film. Even if it winds up being a crap film, it looks epic.

@Forthas - but see it def won’t be crap. Thor 4 we knew would be pretty but probably too jokey. Coogler has a certain expectation too by now

@TheWalkingCuban - Definitely! I HIGHLY doubt Wakanda Forever will be anything near as bad as Thor Love and Thunder.

I knew from the trailer of Thor Love and Thunder that it would suck because I thought Thor Ragnorak was overrated becuase of the almost non stop comedy. When Thor Love and Thunder trailers came out and doubled down on the slapstick, I knew then it would be bad.

@CLTMAN29 - I also agree, I couldn't stand Ragnarok. Felt it was childish with good action scenes.

@Forthas - Yeah if it at least would not have double down on the slapstick and stayed on the Ragnarok level, I think it would be a completely different story. Oh well. But yeah back when I heard the Russos and Marcus and mcfeely had A3&4, I was like man this is going to do Cap and Tony justice for sure (did more than that of course), so yeah, tho I leaned toward recasting, I don’t think coogler will disappoint.

Now here’s how I feel about Gunn. Same as Favreau. Both dropped the ball second go round, but one was replaced. With a 1-1 score, IM3 under Favreau could’ve gone either way. Moot point of course. But same for Gunn, it could go either way. I’m leaning towards a cathartic experience in a good movie. like part 1.

I'd say it's 60/40, maybe even 50/50 that Shuri ENDS the movie as Black Panther.

I think Nakia has the mantle in the end.
