CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR And DOCTOR STRANGE Details Revealed At CineEurope
Marvel aren't coming to Comic-Con, but they did take part in a panel at CineEurope in Barcelona today. New details about the battle between Iron Man and Steve Rogers in Captain America: Civil War were revealed and concept art of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange was shown...
The Hollywood Reporter has a piece up about Disney's presentation at CineEurope today, and some very interesting details about Captain America: Civil War were revealed. They unfortunately don't go into great detail, but do reveal that a video was shown featuring co-director Joe Russo explaining that the story of the threequel revolves around "collateral damage" after the actions of The Avengers results in a loss of life. That sounds just like the comics, but minus the New Warriors.
The tension between Captain America and Iron Man (it's not clear whether or not actual footage was shown, but it sounds like it) was also touched upon, with Robert Downey Jr. stating: "The name Civil War implies there are sides." Meanwhile, artist impressions of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange were shown, with Kevin Feige stating that the Sherlock star is perfect for the role because he offers a "complicated emotional structure." Frustratingly, they don't provide a description of the costume, but hopefully Marvel will release the artwork during Comic-Con.
