CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Star Jeremy Renner Weighs In On A Possible Netflix Series For HAWKEYE

Jeremy Renner has never been too happy with how much screentime Hawkeye received in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but would the actor be open to playing the archer in a thirteen part Netflix series?

Jeremy Renner wasn't happy about his limited role in The Avengers and was cut from Captain America: The Winter Soldier before even getting to shoot his scenes, but the archer was given a much more significant role in both Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. It seems like that may have satisfied him for now though as Renner doesn't seem overly keen on his own Netflix series!

He's certainly open to the idea, as he had this to say when IGN asked him to weigh in on the possibility of that happening. "I don't know the practicality of that. Any of these characters that I play, I'd love to dig in and do them more. I never feel like I get enough time with any character I play, and [Hawkeye] is certainly one of them." He's open to the idea then, but not exactly campaigning for it!

Do you think a character like Netflix should get his own series? Let us know your thoughts below.

Well at least a Hawkeye series would be better than Luke Cage 😂

@MrFridayNights - that's pretty easily achieved. Luke Cage was pretty awful in my opinion.

@LordHarryLatts - that's a stretch but I will say that his show suffers the most from having to fill a 13 episode season.

@niceguyeddie - Luke Cage was awful and it had nothing to do with the amount of episodes it had. It was awful because Mike Colter is a mediocre actor who cannot lead his own show. The show relied heavily on the side characters like Misty, Mariah, Shades, Claire, and Cottonmouth to give it charisma. Luke had little to no solo scenes because he had no range. The villains were not a threat to Luke which is another reason the show lacked conflict because he was indestructible against the main antagonists. I can go on if you want?

The dude is that guy that stands behind other people in big movies. Hes one of the best supporting actors in Hollywood.

Going to netflix would be a step down at this point.
