The Russos have crafted not only a fine film, but one that completes THE best superhero trilogy bar none.

Thanks for watching this Captain America Civil War Review, and stay dorky!

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.

Sorry! But there is NO WAY this is the best trilogy ever. It does not rise to the level of the Dark Knight films. The first Captain America was AVERAGE. Look at the audience Rotten tomatoes score 74% which is surprisingly LOWER than the critic score. Even Civil War has audience scores lower that The Dark Knight AND Batman Begins.

It was a pretty good movie but it is filled with gimmicks...adding Spider Man, the Ant Man reveal, and Black Panther (who I admit was awesome). The villain was weak...as opposed to the Dark Knight who had arguably the greatest villain ever. You are obviously paid by Marvel to say this ...according to DC trolls. But in all seriousness people keep exaggerating the quality if this film. It is among the best films but not THE best film.

@Forthas - Lol sadly I'm paid by no one.. just want to put my opinion out there. I strangely didn't find the movie Gimmicky.. and I normally find that kind of thing in movies, but this one just hit the right notes for me. The Dark Knight Rises was a miss for me.. But I'm not comparing movies as singular entities.. I'm comparing their full stories.. Spiderman 1 and 2 were awesome.. 3.. not so much. Ironman for me was a decline from their first movie down to the third, Xmen is the same.. X2 was great.. X3.. no thanks.. I'm just saying that Cap 1 ( which I enjoyed ), Cap 2 flipped it on everyone and blew ( at least me) out of the water in terms of captain america, and Civil war brought a team up movie together in a way that sings.. so for me yeah.. best Superhero Trilogy. Feel free to add more.. Love this kind of thing :-)

Darn...I was going to ask you how I could get in on the payday.

Even though you did not think it was gimmicky...you have to admit that unlike the Dark Knight films you can't dispute the fact many people view this as a team up Avengers movie and therefore not a Captain America film...and cosequently not a pure end to a trilogy. Would the movie have been as popular if it did not include Spiderman and Black Panther? I think it is a fair question. This issue is not something that you could pin on the Dark Knight movies.

@Forthas - I can see where you're coming from. For me the extra Avengery aspects were just icing on the cake. This movie was first and foremost a Captain America movie, and never lost it's focus on that aspect. That's one of the reasons I really loved it. One can't help but compare to Batman v Superman ( which I oh so badly wanted to be good, I'm a Man of Steel apologist lol ). They both had so many elements and aspects in their films but Cap just seemed to manage it a whole lot better, while including 2 brand new characters ( I see spidey as new ).

Also, as I mentioned in the review.. the comic book movie landscape has changed so much. It's hard to take a singular movie and say it's a definitive better or worst.. Civil War is part of a whole, and I think now a days, if someone were to just jump in to this movie, they'd be entertained, but ultimately lost on a few things.

I loved Batman Begins with that whole realistic approach. It was a refreshing change, until they just went overboard with the realism through out the rest of the series.. Joker was great no doubt, but Harvey was underwhelming for me and I didn't care for Bane all that much..
