CAPTAIN AMERICA: NEW WORLD ORDER Star Harrison Ford Says MCU Role Is "Not A Walk In The Park"

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star Harrison Ford has commented on his role in Captain America: New World Order in a way that only the iconic actor really could. Find out what he had to say here...

Following the death of Willaim Hurt, Marvel Studios turned to screen icon Harrison Ford to play General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross in Captain America: New World Order

It's widely believed that the General will be U.S. President when we next see him, giving the Han Solo actor a meaty role to sink his teeth into. The typically outspoken actor was recently asked by Esquire whether he's having "fun" working on the MCU project and gave an answer that's, well, 100% Harrison Ford!

"Uh," he responded. "Yeah. I mean, there are tough days and easy days and fun days and all kinds of days. It’s a tough schedule and, yeah, it’s fun. But it’s not a walk in the park. It’s not fun fun. It’s work."

In the same interview, Ford reflected on shooting Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and made it clear that, even at 81, he isn't shying away from doing his own stunts.

Talking about the scene in which he rides a horse through the streets of 1969 New York, the actor recalled three stuntmen attempting to help him down. "I thought, 'What the [frick]?' Like I was being attacked by gropers. I look down and there’s three stunt guys there making sure I didn’t fall off the stirrup."

"They said, 'Oh, we were just afraid because we thought, you know, and bah bah bah bah,'" Ford adds. "And I said, 'Leave me the f*ck alone. Leave me alone, I’m an old man getting off a horse and I want it to look like that!'"

It was recently reported that parts of Captain America: New World Order will also be shot in Washington D.C., no huge shock when Ford is likely the MCU's new President.

Remember, he's no fan of the "heroes" who defied the Sokovia Accords, and he probably won't want Sam serving as Captain America in place of John Walker. Throw The Leader into the mix, however, and Ross transforming into Red Hulk in order to take matters into his own hands seems inevitable.

Captain America: New World Order is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.

Great another old "prestige" actor that will be wasted in his single MCU outing.

How many more times do you need to see this before you realize what the scam is?
This will be the same as every other time.

@TempleRod - Scam???

@MosquitoFarmer - Yes, scam as in, promising things that uplift the audiences expectations,
and then delivering the same old formula.
And people are realizing this about Marvel. They always say they doing something new, They always pretend they will put these old legacy actors to good use.

When it comes to movie release date, turns out a bunch of garbage. It's bait and switch.
People are tired of Marvel. Time for something new.

@TempleRod - If everyone (including you, clearly) knows what to expect from these movies by now, it's not really a scam. Now they should feel bad cause they get to work with Harrison Ford?

@TempleRod - Yes, yes, they should sign this 81 year old actor to a 10 year deal.

@TempleRod - like Michael Keaton in the Flash? You are so absolutely transparent it's embarassing.

Also, pretty sure he's signed on for at least two movies. NWO and Thunderbolts.
