They're nothing new(just a new angle!) but we have another few set pics of the Chris Evans Sam Jackson face off from the shoot in Times Square earlier on. Check em out..

So apparently these are pic ups for Captain America: TFA and NOT Avengers set pics. Nothing official on what the Hell they are for to be honest but that is most definitely Steve Rogers standing eyes to eye with Nick Fury.

Thanks to TheSpyAssassin for snapping the pics.

the movie is bookended by scenes in the present. I guess discovering him is how it starts and him waking him up and Nick walking him about and Cap realising he's lost everything is how that is gonna work. I presume it will follow the Ultimate line and finish with Nick saying "Not everything Captain" and then a shot of the American flag or something.

isn't that supposed to be after his transformation when he's hunting the nazi assassin? it is the same clothes. so, why is fury in the forties? does he have the anti-age serum or some kind of super soldier serum like in the ultimate universe? unless it is in the present day and he just happens to wear the same clothes...

I've said it...should be the scene where CAP awakes in modern world!

Awesome!

Jolt17 Not to be a dick but, what else could this scene be?

Sabretooth316 I always thought he would be thawed out in Avengers too. But they're probably cramming it into Captain America so they won't have to waste time on what's basically Cap's second origin story.

I'm starting to think that Cap is already thawed out by the time Fury breaks into Stark's house. He's the first Avenger, that's why Coulson asked about the Cap-looking shield in Iron Man 2.

@NeoBaggins, I'm sure Fury would have heard about Captain America from the past, but I don't think he was thawed out quite then. Don't you think he would have been mentioned in Iron Man and Iron Man 2 if he had been thawed out? I think the reason the shield was in Stark's lab was because he was re-designing it with a boomerang function to come back to Cap's hand. I think he gets thawed out a little before the Avengers storyline takes place.

MarvelGangbang Why would Cap have to be mentioned by name in either Iron Man movies? Fury told Stark that he wasn't the only super hero in the world. Who is he referring to? He's obviously talking about a number of people. And you said Stark may have been tweaking (or redesigning) Cap's shield. How could he do that if Cap wasn't around yet?

... I don't understand.. How is Fury there if this is set in the past?

@ jeremiah: This movie has what we have been referring to as "modern bookends" to it. So essentially either the beginning or the end of the movie will have Cap being brought out of suspended animation in modern times.

That is the scene they are shooting in the pics.

Cap's origin story is a Rip Van Winkle kind of scenario. Cap gets frozen or something 60 years ago and goes through major culture shock once he is awakened. It looks like he runs amok some at first.

@Juggernaut: Damn, I thought they were going to incorporate that into the Avengers, instead? Ah, oh well. Not a problem, I suppose.
