Just to get this out of the way, I'm writing this editorial on my iPhone so don't expect a glorious masterpiece.

And now, the point of this article.

I was just re-watching some of the trailers and tv spots for Cap TWS and something kind of caught my attention.

First off, by now, everybody knows that Fury is the one who "dies" thanks to a certain TV spot where we hear Steve say "Fury's last words were not to trust anyone."

One of the more popular theories is that Fury is faking his death to go into hiding, which wouldn't be unlike him. But there isn't a whole ton of evidence supporting this.

Well, today, while re-watching the Super Bowl trailer I heard Steve say "You told me not to trust anyone," while showing a clip of Fury walking through a hallway. So if those were Fury's supposed "last words" than obviously, Steve saying this to him afterwards means he is still alive. I'm like 97% sure that this confirms everybody's theories about Fury faking his death if they hadn't otherwise already been confirmed.

I don't know if anybody really caught this, or if I'm kind of just pointing out the obvious but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Let me know what you guys think, and be nice. I don't really know if anybody noticed this so I just felt I should point it out.

See ya around.

Dont read to much into trailors, they mash up scenes so often. Still the movie looks EPIC. Go Fury!

at this point, we have no way of knowing that the scene in which Fury walks down a hallway happens before or after his supposed death, be it real or faked. Therefore, we can't conclude that he definitely faked his death.

trailers cut together scenes from all over the movie and splice them together in random order. don't judge any story points based on the order of snippets of footage from the trailer.

@ItsATrap

Well, no shit. I was just stating what part of the trailer we hear Steve say "You told me not to trust anyone." I was talking about the actual audio, the clip that played along with it had nothing to do with my theory. I'm a filmmaker myself, I understand how trailers work.& Who else would he have been saying that to? Logically, if we once hear him say "Fury told us not to trust anyone" and then later hear him say "You told me not to trust anyone" Who do you think he's saying that to? Think about it. It makes sense. Then there is the fact that it's been confirmed that Fury is in Avengers 2.

@SotoJuiceMan I realize that. That's why I stated in the article that I'm pointing out the obvious. I was just pointing something out that I was unaware it anybody has noticed yet, that being the line in the one tv spot.

As everyone has stated it's obvious that Fury fakes his death, the question or theories that should be brought up are why?
