THOR: RAGNAROK, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2 Footage And CAPTAIN MARVEL Concept Art Descriptions

That Disney shareholders meeting was good for more than just a bit of Star Wars footage. After the jump you'll find scene descriptions for 2 big Marvel flicks, as well as some Captain Marvel concept art.

Last night we brought you a detailed description of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi footage that screened at a recent Disney Shareholders meeting, and now thanks to /Film we have breakdowns for a couple of scenes from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok.

The first bit of GOTG footage sounds very similar to a moment from the most recent trailer, but there was also a scene involving baby Groot adorably attempting yo break Yondu and Rocket out of a cell.

"He showed a clip from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, with Baby Groot in red Ravager outfit walking slowly with his head down, his steps squishy. He seemed sad. He gets close to a cell holding Yondu and Rocket. Yondu yells “Hey Twig, come here.” After Baby Groot walks over, Yondu and Rocket explain to him how to break them out. Yondu takes his Ravager badge off his coat and gives it to Baby Groot and tells him to take it up to a room where that will open a drawer with a key. Groot takes the badge and puts it on his head, all sad. Rocket then interprets that Groot thought he wanted him to wear it as a hat and that made him sad because he doesn’t like hats and thinks people think he has a funny-shaped head. Rocket asks Groot if that’s why he is sad."

D'awwww! The Thor: Ragnarok footage was a little more menacing, as it seems to make it very clear that the villainous Hela can wield (or at least, hold) Mjolnir. Not sure what's going on with Thor's helmet...

"A shot of Cate Blanchett as Hela from Thor: Ragnarok, holding Mjolnir from the top, with the handle horizontal and extending away from her. Several shots of Thor and Hulk, both in gladiator garb, as seen in EW photos. Also, a shot of Thor putting his helmet on and turning side pieces of helmet from horizontal to vertical."

And finally, we have a brief description of the first official piece of Captain Marvel concept artwork. Apparently, an image was shown of Carol Danvers in “an action pose in the air, about to hit someone.”

Unfortunately, whoever reported this to /Film didn't think to include a description of her costume, but there's a decent chance the image itself will be released soon, in which case we'll see for ourselves.

@BillCipher999 -

I suppose writing a joke takes a lot of the comedic value out of it - with that said, i'm not sure how that would be funny.
