Axcend is a new and unique comic that blends video gaming with the world that currently exists. When Eric Morn gets a exclusive opportunity to beta test a new game, he lunges at the opportunity. To his surprise he gets sucked into the game and finds that his life will be forever changed. What happens next is is not only dangerous for Eric Morn, but could also have apocalyptic implications for those in the real world. Shane Davis gives his a little more imput on Axcend saying,

"I wanted to tell a story of a fragile character who's running from today... everyday, playing online games," he continued. "My theme for the series is not so much about gaming per se, but losing sense of what's real and what's fantasy, and how dangerous that is when you give a kid the power of a god. In the case of Axcend, when the game comes over into the real world, do you stop playing for points and XP? Does the player even have a reason to stop?"

One of the preeminent talents in comic books today, SHANE DAVIS (Superman: Earth One) joins forces with his wife and fellow artist MICHELLE DELECKI (JLA,Venom) on an all-new book under the Image Comics umbrella - AXCEND. Created, written and drawn by Davis, AXCEND is an epic sci-fi/thriller that's like Tron meets Inception with a cheat code! The story follows the life of a teenage twin named Eric who escapes into a video game...only to discover that the game is now real, with apocalyptic consequences.

Axcend hits stories on
October 7.
