Following the events of Brightest Day, the new protector of Earth has been chosen. But one reluctant hero making his return to the DCU is trying to convince Batman, Superman and the others heroes of the DC Universe that this may not be a good thing, because he can see that things are not right and mankind's brightest days are indeed over.

Josh: that's what I'm confused about. they said that there will be only one batman and dick wont be batman anymore. and if this takes place before the 'reboot', the suit has the black symbol, which is dick's, but it has the lines going down the sides which is on bruce's 'new' version of the yellow symbol suit... its confusing

The cover artwork is wonderful - really, really like it! But does this mean an end to Swampy's (Alan Moore level)adult-intelligent-Vertigo plotting? Is this just dumbing down/cashing in? And what happened to Swampy's daughter Teffe, the new elemental? The last time Bats and Swampy crossed paths it was outstanding. Gonna buy it just for the cover art.
