I wouldn't be surprised if they use the new costume for the movie

Why does every shot of Superman show him getting his ass kicked?

Is that the actual cover for Superboy? No, it can't be. No self-respecting comics publisher would use art that bad.

Oh, right. DC has no self-respect anymore.

@hellsing
I think it will be. Snyder said that Cavill tried on a suit like the old Chris Reeves suit, which is hard to look good in. I think he meant the red underoo thing. So I think it's a given that the new film will have no red underwear.

@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY I agree...I hated the new costume at first but it has grown on me; just wish the middle of the belt buckle was yellow. I also dont like how the cover artist for the Superman book draws it. but it looks good from Jim Lee's artwork and the artist of the supergirl cover.

@BaneKill77: I agree with you. It looks very girly. O_o

I hate the new costume. They could've at least made the belt yellow. That dark red belt is not appealing to the eyes against that blue. I really hope they don't use this style for the movie. That would be a disaster.

@DukeAcureds: I took it as Snyder meant that since the costume used was like a cheap Halloween costume. Anyone would look terrible in that, especially a grown man.

I still have hope that they would keep the classic suit, at least for this film. If they really want to they can change it for the sequel - even though I would still be upset =(. I just want to see how a faithful portrayal of the classic suit would look with a high budget at least just once. T~T

Julez13@ It would look like Superman Returns. Not a bad thing IMO.

@ ShadowVoyd

Couldn't agree more about the belt and everything else design-wise.

I'm ok with a new suit...but...meh.

Really not feeling this new superman. I'm not sure if it's the new outfit or the artwork but it's just not doing it for me. Keeping my fingers crossed that we don't see this outfit in the movie. Please no.

@DukeAcureds: lol. I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. A faithful film interpretation of Superman's suit will not look like it did in SR at all! There are so many things wrong with that suit that I'm not even gonna bring it up because then it'll get me started and I'll be complaining all night, lol. That list of things wrong with that suit is just too long. The only thing that would probably be the same might be the texture of the fabric. But as far as the style of the suit it would be completely different.

MAN why does DC Suck so much?? And why do they expect readers and fans to have such small attention spans that sudden changes in continuity will be tolerated. In all honesty they could achieve the nearly all the changes through subtle changes in writing but they lack the ability. Superman's earthly parents and be focused on less, and marital issues could be written to drive a wedge between Clark and Lois but nooooo. DC does not accept good continuous writing. Only rubes will read these books and I use the term "books" lightly. The issues won't really be books, but rather something in between a flashy picture magazine and toilet paper.

Does anyone notice almost all of the new looks on the justice league book cover they the same neck line on their suits? love the new look for superman he was overdue for an update , the red underwear just started looking goofy.

Supes new suit doesn't bother me much, the only real compliant is that blasted V neckline that almost all of JL has now cause it seriously shows a lack of creativity.

Superboy though... smh. Not a fan at all. I prefer him without a costume tbh. It gives him such a different edge from the rest of the "Super" family.

Supergirl looks still looks the best out of the three. The "cheerleader" look was pretty cute but this makes her look more mature and tough.
