COMICS: It Appears As If Batman Will Assemble His Own SUICIDE SQUAD This October

You have to believe that most writers would pass on the chance to take over a title like Batman after Scott Snyder's incredible 50+ issue run, but Tom King has been doing an excellent job so far of continuing the Caped Crusader's adventures. This October, the first part of "I Am Suicide" goes on sale, and it definitely sounds like Batman is going to have to put together a very unusual sort of team.

Based on the cover art and solicitation text, it really does seem as if the Dark Knight will be assembling a Suicide Squad of his greatest villains to help take on an even larger threat. Handled the right way, this story has the potential to be something really special, so it should be one worth keeping an eye on. Expect more details to be revealed as we get closer to the Fall or possibly at Comic-Con this week!

"Return of Wally West" Concludes, Young Animal Grows in DC Comics' Full October 2016 Solicits

“I Am Suicide” part one! Batman has always been crazy…but this? This is suicide! In order to retrieve Psycho-Pirate and save Gotham Girl, Batman must recruit a team from Amanda Waller to break into the most impenetrable prison in the world and steal from one of the Dark Knight’s greatest foes…Bane. The next great Batman story begins here!

Yes, I'm sure Batman will be cool with inceting explosives into people's heads.

I could do without the yellow part around the symbol.

@HerculesJones - @HerculesJones - i don't particularly care for it either, either go yellow circular shield type emblem or just a bat. None of this bollocks. That said I am sick of everything in the comics revolving around the movies. Suicide Squad is coming out so now DC's most bankable hero is going to forget his morals and let a group of criminals loose? Seems contrived and like it was only done for cross marketing purposes. Maybe there is a good reason but I doubt it.

@HerculesJones - I'm not sure I dislike it but it does catch my eye in a somewhat distracting way.

@huckfinnisher - Um except
a) not the the first time he used his rogues' help. Bane, Riddler, Rha's, several ones to fight against Joker in Endgame, Clayface currently, and many other times.

b) SS is obviously getting a big push but if this was meant to coincide with the film it would have released in August.
