COMICS: The Man Of Steel You Grew Up With Is Finally Back In First Look At SUPERMAN #1

The New 52 version of Superman was quite a bit younger than his predecessor and a lot rougher around the edges. The fact that he fought crime in jeans and a t-shirt during his earliest adventures was very divisive, while it's hard to think of many solo stories featuring that version of the Man of Steel which really worked over the past five years or so. However, that Kal-El is now dead and gone.

He's not coming back either, but in his place is the original Superman from the previous DC Universe (confused, yet?). Who or what The New 52 version of the character was remains to be seen, but the real deal is back in this first look at Wednesday's Superman #1, and the preview below continues to tease that big Watchmen mystery thanks to a mention of "Mr. Oz" and a familiar looking blue hand.

The Last Son of Krypton must decide whether to help his young son use his new and rapidly increasing abilities, or hide them from the world.

So Superman has three books? Action Comics, A Rebirth and this one? Or is Rebirth just a set up issue?
