Today's issue of Doomsday Clock featured plenty of big surprises, including the fact that Dr. Manhattan may, in fact, be in hiding in the DC Universe as a superhero. That was a point made by Ozymandias after he and the new Rorschach entered that world for the first time, noting that it's years ahead of their world in some ways and behind it in others. However, things then took an unexpected turn.

Seeking out one of the world's smartest men, Ozymandias finally met Lex Luthor but the Superman villain was promptly gunned down after getting between an unknown shooter and Adrian Veidt.

Moments later, we learned that the shooter is actually The Comedian and that he's somehow been resurrected! As you may recall, he was actually killed by Ozymandias in the opening pages of Watchmen after learning what he had planned for the world and it seems
Dr. Manhattan has been very busy indeed. What did you guys think of this surprising development? Share your thoughts below.

@Brave - What a joke.

This is the exact opposite of the meaning of Watchmen.

Originally I didn't want to spoil myself, but I couldn't resist looking who they brought back now. As I slowly started getting into Rebirth I slowly warmed up to the idea of bringing Dr. Manhattan into the mix, and was at least interested in seeing him interact with Superman at some point. That could've been something. But the more I hear about other Watchmen characters making their way into the story the less appealing the whole thing gets...

@Kyos - What would you expect, though? It was hyped up as a crossover with Watchmen from the very beginning, and did you really think that if Dr. Manhattan was here, the other characters wouldn't appear too? Especially with the smiley face button showing up in the very first issue of Rebirth.

So many things happened in this issue, i can't even process this shit.
I know i'm reading something truly great, but for now...i'm just gonna take it easy.

Those that have followed every single thing, can probably already guess what will happen in the next issues.
I might be 100% wrong, but Lex COULD expose Batman.
Bruce could stop being Batman...not for good, because...well, it's comics, but still...
Don't even get me started on Supes.
And this is ALL about DC, not even counting the Watchmenverse such as this twist.
The Comedian is alive? How????
