Could Jared Leto's JOKER Still Be Good After SUICIDE SQUAD?

After Jared Leto's performance as The Joker in DC's latest film "Suicide Squad", can Jared Leto turn his Joker around and make it a better Joker?

DC's Suicide Squad has been out for quite some time now, but time and time again, it seems people still bring up that Jared Leto's Joker is the worst Joker we've seen yet. However, with these changes, I feel that Jared Leto's Joker could actually be a scary and intimidating Joker that we would all love to see.

(Source: YouTube Channel "Bobby Burns") The first time we saw Joker in the Suicide Squad trailer and heard him say "I'm not gonna kill you. I'm just gonna hurt you, really, really, bad", everybody started to get incredibly excited (including myself) about how menacing Leto's Joker would be. However, in the theatrical release of the film, the scene from the trailer was edited to have various colors mixed with the scene, as well as a blurry and shaky camera.

I also think that they should completely change the way Jared Leto's Joker looks in the DCEU. Something about it doesn't seem Joker-like at all to me. Possibly my favorite Joker design in any form of entertainment, was the design from Batman: Arkham Asylum. The Joker looked menacing with that big red smile across his face, the poofed green hair, and the purple suit. In Suicide Squad, Leto's Joker had short hair, shirtless and covered in tattoos, and was barely in the movie.

I'm hoping that in the future DCEU movies that'll have Jared's Joker in the film, that something is changed to make him a better Joker. I feel as if the Joker we saw in Suicide Squad was barely anything. He wasn't in the movie for long, and I think that maybe if he was shown more, I might've liked his performance. I still have hope for Jared Leto's Joker.

I don't want to see a scary and intimidating Joker, I want to see a fun Joker. They just can't make a better serious version of the Joker than Ledger, so they should not do it sirious. They should make a hilarious version of a character that only wants to have fun. Have the classic version, get rid of the tatoos. They should inspire on the pencil scene of TDK. Funny stuff.

they need to retcon some shit too. like show that he's abusive to Harley, get rid of that stuff with him owning a restaurant (guy's a known serial killer, he shouldn't be able to own anything), and maybe pretend that forehead tattoo never existed... or just cut his face off like in the comics. His performance wasn't awful but it did come off as a try-hard.

This was by far the worst joker I have seen on any platform. Dark Knight joker wasn't the "traditional" but he made up for his look with his acting and character but this joker just failed in every department, leto was too focus on being scary and creepy he forgot the joker is much more than that...I can't remember his joker making me giggle let alone laugh. His joker doesn't even feel like he has lost it upstairs he just feel weird and evil

I'm sorry but comparing Leto and Ledger is stupid, we have seen 2 hours of Ledger and about 7 minutes of Leto, atleast let Leto have more screen time before you judge him
