DC Comics Pays Tribute To Stan "The Man" Lee In Today's New Releases From The Publisher

Stan Lee helped create some of the greatest heroes in the Marvel Universe and while his contributions to DC Comics were rare, the publisher has paid tribute to "The Man" in comics like Heroes in Crisis...

A number of big comics went on sale today, including the latest issues of Action Comics, Detective Comics, and Heroes in Crisis, and one recurring theme in them all is the fact that DC has paid tribute to the late, great Stan "The Man" Lee.

The co-creator of characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and The Hulk frequently referred to DC as the "Distinguished Competition" on letter pages during his tenure with Marvel Comics and that's referenced here as the company pays its respects to Lee following his passing late last year.

Lee wrote only a handful of DC Comics, usually as part of gimmicky events like "Just Imagine Stan Lee's..." which saw him recreate a number of iconic characters in the classic Marvel mould.

Lee's work in the 1960s helped turn comic books around and while he may not have spent time writing stories starring the likes of Superman and the Justice League, he definitely influenced how they were portrayed in the years which would follow.

Do you think this is a fitting tribute to "The Man"? Share your thoughts on that in the usual place.

@knocturnalzen10 - The Spider-Verse cameo really hit me hard. And then there was the cameo in the PS4 game ("You always were my favourites."), which I somehow didn't expect at all.

This is a class act, wish some "fans" could have this attitude between this fandom. Well done DC.

It's still hard to admit he's gone, but then i just think about how he's in peace with his wife watching us from above, all i gotta say is thank you Stan Lee for everything, for teaching us that a superhero can be human and humanity's always important, even when you're able to change reality, have superhuman strenght and shoot lasers from your eyes.

And along with Kirby and Ditko for telling us, and make sure, that the impossibilities are endless. Excelsior good sir. RIP.

Nice of DC.

But of all the characters to head an article about DC paying respect to Stan Lee you had to pick Harley Quinn?

Why are DC fans saying this memorial was better than Marvels? Twitter is such a toxic place man
