Never Mind Caught Up, MARVEL Is Ahead! How Can DC Catch Up?

While competition in movies and video games will be high next year, Marvel will dominate TV with their plan. How can DC catch up with them?

My last editorial was on why Marvel caught up and DC is now losing in TV so this will serve as part two. Next year, DC will have Wonder Woman and Justice League up against GOTG 2, Spider Man and Thor Ragnarok and Marvel (well Sony Interactive Entertainment but still Marvel Games) will release Spider Man PS4 against DC's Injustice 2 and possibly a game from WB Montreal so the competition in movies and video games will be very good in 2017. However, Marvel's recent strategies with TV such as giving the Punisher his own show, putting Ghost Rider on Agents Of Shield and their deal with IMAX on producing the Inhumans will set them to dominate!

DC has the stepping stones in place to improve their TV division. First off, they have had a lot of experience with their current lineup! Second, their shows generate over $1 billion in revenue which means interest in DC shows are very high and gives them an edge in competition with Marvel TV. Lastly, DC isn't afraid of pulling moves such as putting Super Man on Super Girl or the 4 night crossover. The problem is how do they improve?

We can't just do what marvel does and make a shared universe between movies and TV because all of the lower tier heroes are already being used on other shows. We can't just get rid of Guggenheim and get off the CW or Fox or whatever because that would be very complicated copyright wise and has 0 chance of happening. We can't just cancel all of the shows and do some reboot, that also has 0 chances of happening. What are we left with?

For starters, we could usea Rebirth event. It worked really well with comics and will probably do well with movies, even DC Universe online did that, why not TV? The only thing is that Geoff Johns would have to be the overseer and not someone else, he is pratically the god of DC. Another tactic would be an HBO Batman show. Batman has a million movies, comics, animated movies/shows and video games, why not go on tv? He is the poster boy of DC and maybe even super heroes in general (very debatable) but he can reel in the views and of course the quality hasto be there too!

What are your guys plan for a TV rebirth?

The DC TV shows aren't really behind. Marvel has 1 on broadcast television and by around 2018 they'll have 2. DC Entertainment has seven with at least three more on the way. Even FOX will have their own Cable series by January, and Marvel will still have none. FOX will even have a broadcast series by 2018-2020.

You seriously want DC TV to be "rebirthed"? [frick] off. Get your head out of Marvel's ass. The Flash is the best comic book show on television. Marvel isn't "ahead". Legends of Tomorrow is miles ahead of Agents of Shit. Arrow, I'll admit, hasn't been as good, but I've heard good things about the current season. Marvel has done well with their Netflix shows, but they are not ahead of the Arrow/Flashverse.

inb4 someone calls me a DC fanboy. DC has had shortcomings, but saying that the CW shows need a "rebirth" is ignorant and honestly offensive to people who like Arrowverse shows.
