Last month, Warner Bros. officially announced plans for the long-rumoured DC Universe digital streaming service. While we don't know much beyond its name and the fact it will be home to TV shows like Titans, Doom Patrol, and Swamp-Thing, excitement is understandably high and now some new details have been revealed by Dani Snow, a woman who will serve as its community manager.

During a podcast appearance, she was asked if there was anything she wanted to plug and it was then that Snow dropped some fresh details about Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's current plans.

"I work at DC Comics — sorry, DC Entertainment — and we are about to launch I think late August, our DC digital platform which will be a hub for all things DC," she revealed. "There will be digital movies, TV shows that you can watch, streaming. We’re going to have a lot of comics on there." She went on to explain that fans should also expect a back catalogue of animated TV shows and movies and there will be a lot of interaction and giveaways, distinguishing this from streaming services like Netflix.

Warner Bros. is no doubt going to reveal plenty of official details about DC Universe at Comic-Con next month so we'll hopefully get news on pricing and content then. In the meantime, these details leave us with plenty to think about and you can share your thoughts on them in the comments section below.
