Alright, so to start off I'm going to say that I have not seen EVERY CBM (for example, Jonah Hex, Steel, and Elektra.) But I have seen the majority of them, so

#10. IRON MAN 2

Now this movie does it's job of setting up future Marvel projects, but as it's own indivual film it just falls flat on it's face. This time around, instead of hunting down international terrorist organizations, or getting himself out of a cave with nothing but scraps, Tony Stark is more interested in having drunken parties, arguing with government officials, and... discovering a new element...? I'm not saying there aren't some redeeming qualities (Tony/Pepper humor, Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer, etc.), but for the most part this rushed sequel just doesn't hit the mark, ESPECIALLY when compared to it's predessecor.

#9. X-Men: The Last Stand

After it was announced that Bryan Singer would not be returning for the third film in the "X-Men" film franchise (to make the terrible Superman Returns, which I'll get to in a moment), I think I can speak for everyone when I say we were really disappointed. Disappointed, but we held out hope that it may still be a good movie. Then May 26 came around, and our very souls were stepped upon and shattered. Not only did Brett Ratner give us a horrible movie, he also gave us one of the WORST adaptions of one of the BEST storylines from the comics. After this disappointment it took until 2011 for Matthew Vaughn to get the franchise back on track. Go die, X-Men 3.

#8. Superman Returns

So I'm going to try to ignore the fact this movie is pretty much responsible X-Men: The Last Stand, and judge it as it's own movie. Instead of trying to create a new and exciting Superman story, he decided to make a bland, boring, sequel-ish to the original movies. This was the first Superman movie that really had the VFX to bring the hero to life, and it showed it in a couple of scenes, but for the most part it was just incredibly boring. And since when has Superman stalked his ex and her family?Oh and who's bright [frick]ing idea was it to cast Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane?!

#7. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

This movie is seriously bad. The first one slipped off the list, but this one had to stay. Nicolas Cage shouldn't have been cast in the titular role of Ghost Rider in the first place, but it really stands out that he IS NOT the right guy for the job in this one. There are a few cool scenes (always including either cool effects or Idris Elba), but apart from that I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. For any reason.

#6. Fantastic Four

As soon as the movie started off with a love triangle between Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, and Dr. Doom I knew we were in for a treat [major sarcasm.] No one, with the exception of Chris Evans, seems like they should have been cast in their roles. While Jessica Alba is attractive, she was terribly mis-cast as the [arguably] most powerful member of the team. Also, the Thing suit is completely ridiculous and looks like soft rubber trying to look like rock. And don't even get me started on Dr. Doom. Don't even. So, to summarize, this was a mis-cast, poorly written, badly executed version of the beloved comic. At least they didn't make a sequel, right? Right?

#5. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Two words. Cloud. Galactus.

#4. HULK

I made an entire article on what I thought was wrong with this movie (which you can read HERE), but to sum it up this movie has very little story, villains, or pretty much anything interesting. The dialogue is bad, [most of] the acting is bad, and the whole thing just feels nothing like a Hulk movie should. And it would be five years after this movie came out that we [finally] got a really solid big-scren version of the fan-favorite character, and this movie just isn't it.

#3. Daredevil

I've heard the director's cut of this movie is not half-bad, but I'm judging the regular, theatrical release version. Which sucks. Majorly. The first couple minutes of the movie are watchable, some may even say "good", but it all goes down-hill when Matt starts gaining his "other senses", and you see how truly cheap the effects in this movie are. From the fight on the playground with Elektra, to the final fight with Bullseye on the organ, the CGI and VFX look rubbery and terrible, and the practical stunts even more so. The cast actually isn't too terrible, and does the best with what they're given, but every time Colin Farrell as Bullseye is on screen I just want to puke. The story is also pretty in-coherent, and I can only hope that Netflix and Marvel are able to bring us a true representation of the character we all know and love.

#2. Batman & Robin

So right now you're probably thinking one of two things. #1 is "How is this only number two?!" #2 is "Well now I know what number one is". But there's really NOTHING that can be said about this movie that hasn't been said already, so I'm going to leave this bit up to our good friend, The Nostalgia Critic.

My thoughts exactly, Nostalgia Critic. My thoughts exactly.

#1. Catwoman

Yeah, you guessed it. I went back and forth with Batman & Robin for a bit on this one, but at least Batman & Robin is so stupid that it's funny, and actually fun to watch! This one is just SO incredibly stupid that it should be illegal to even think about it. It's hard where to even start with this one. It butchers the source material for one thing. I've never seen a movie dis-regard the comics as this one. All of the acting is atrocious, but it's not like it's any of the actors' faults. I'm pretty sure the writers were MAJORLY high while writing this. It also claims to be anti-sexism, but this is one of the most sexist movies I've ever seen! I mean, think about it. The whole thing ends with a cat-fight [pun intended] with Catwoman and the head of a makeup company. Pretty much the whole thing is about taking down A FREAKING MAKEUP COMPANY. Yep, that's anti-sexism at it's finest.

Thanks for checking out this article, if you liked it hit that red glove button! Did you agree with my list? Well comment below and let me know what you would have changed! Until next time, I'm EpitomeofAwesome.

@Pending

I actually didn’t really think the first one was that terrible. It had some cool parts, but I didn’t think the same of the second

Because I'm a DC guy, I'd still switch Green Lantern out for Iron Man 2.

Iron Man 2? Why does everyone hate Iron Man 2 so much?

Being a fence sitter, I'd have Iron Man 2 and Green Lantern have a tie for last place.

If you're going to put an Iron Man movie on this list, it should've been Iron Man 3.

Also, Green Lantern definitely belongs on this list. Same goes for Elektra.

Hulk is a very underrated movie. I like it because it's different . It's a cerebral indie movie with a summer tent pole budget .

Daredevil was a good movie

Agree with @OmegaDaGod, neither of those movies belongs on this list, especially IM 2. You seemed to miss the entire point of the plot in IM 2. Tony was dying, and knew it. That does affect your behavior, and he does ultimately grow from it, so he has a very nice character arc in the film.. And finding a new element was pretty cool. As for Daredevil, while it's not the best cbm ever, it's nowhere near the worst. It's kind of in the middle for me.

You were absolutely right about Ang Lee's Hulk, in fact it should be tied with Superman IV for number one. Catwoman.......eh, tbh, I don't even think of it being a cbm, although obviously it is. I just don't think of it that way though, and I still think others are worse. Batman and Robin was bad, but imo Batman Forever was just as bad, if not worse. I actually think Fantastic 4 is okay. Not great, but not a top ten worst. Rise of Silver Surfer is a top ten worst. X-Men 3 wasn't horrible for me either, and is better than the Wolverine Origins movie. Ghostrider 2, yeah it should be on this list. Superman Returns is bad, I'll have to think about whether or not it's a top ten worst cbm.

The director's cut isn't much better

I'd add Iron Man 3, Thor, Thor TDW, Superman III, Superman IV, TASM, and Batman Forever to the list.

The FF movies are bad but entertaining, as are Last Stand and Iron Man 2. Daredevil director's cut is pretty great actually.

Can't argue with the list too much. Have you seen the original captain america film or the original FF? Lol some funny stuff, they are on you tube. Elektra deserves an honorable mention. Plus Borigins.

I AM GROOT!!!

What is the major difference between the theater and directors cut for DD? I have yet too watch the directors cut.

Out of all the shit cbms out there, I see no place for Iron man 2, Ang Lee's Hulk, X3, Daredevil, or Superman Returns on this list. You could add in Batman forever, the first Ghost Rider, All of the old Cap films, Elektra, etc.
Brainiac13

Agree with the list.

Nick56 - Woah, woah, woah! The first Thor movie?! Sayeth whaaa, I can sort of understand The Dark World being placed in this list. But the first Thor? I have to respectfully disagree.

A top 10 worst CBM list...and no Green Lantern?

MightyZeus

Yep, i agree with all of them except for The Hulk. I rewatched it a few weeks ago and i found myself to appreciate it more. Maybe it's because it takes itse;f seriously and i do enjoy watching serious comic book films but i'm not sure as to why i liked it.

Good list.
