So you’re thinking about rereading the epic comic book event Civil War. Refresh that memory in anticipation of next summer’s Captain America film adapted from this events plotline?  Well Marvel Comics is glad to lend a hand by putting together the definitive hardcover box set. With an event spanning over a 100 Issues the 11 volume set will feature new art on the spine to create the image pictured below.  Be prepared though  with a suggested retail price of $500.00 that is a hefty commitment many a Marvel fan will have to ponder, but come on it will look so good on your shelf.

$500?

Are you [frick]ing kidding me?

What dumbass would buy this?

Marvel must be run by dumbasses to think anyone would buy $500 worth of a mediocre comic event. Hell no comic event ever is worth $500.

I bought a slightly-used hard cover of the main series only for about $8. That's enough for me.

Wait until they don't move product at all, and then see the price dwindle to $150 a year later.

Still not buying it, though.

500 smack-a-roos?! I can get a PS4, along with an extra controller and one game with that kind of money! Hell I can get a 64 GB OnePlus 2!

Assuming all those books would average $20 a piece, you're paying $300 for a box to keep them in.

You could also assemble the entire set of original comics for probably $60 between dollar bins and ebay.

It does sound crazy, but Civil War has been in the top 10 graphic novel sellers per month, every month, since it came out (8 years ago!). It's ridiculous and I'd never buy it, but people will, it's not a stretch.

That's not new art in the spines. It was the cover to, hell, I don't remember, Secret Files or something like that. They it put on posters an t-shirts and stuff, which is probably why it features characters that never even appeared in any Civil War tie-ins.

The Civil War comic was awesome but I'm not paying for that.

Seems to be a consensus that it's priced way to high! For those who just want to read it. It's all available digitally on Marvel unlimited the monthly fee is very reasonable. A hell of a lot less than $500.00
