MARVEL Team Up with Australia's NRL to Promote Special Sport Jerseys

Marvel have connected with Australian sporting community National Rugby League to promote a series of special edition jerseys by ISC sport featuring iconic Marvel characters in an inspiring superhuman display.

The likes of Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Wolverine have combined to create an inspiring display of sporting spirit and sportsmanship, with Marvel teaming up with Australia's National Rugby League to showcase special team jerseys for the upcoming Round 21 of the NRL competition.  ISC Sport have designed these exclusive jerseys with the 5 iconic Marvel superhero characters for the North Queensland Cowboys, St George Illawara Dragons, Sydney Roosters, Canberra Raiders and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, respectively.

If Marvel is going to team up with any sport here in Australia, it should be AFL.

In case anyone would like to dispute that point I just made, watch this clip first. The stick is called a hurl, dunno why they didn't just say that from the start of the vid, and the ball is called a sliotar (pronounced shlitter).

It's certainly a great form of marketing and looks far better than the usual less flashy company logos (Leeds Building Society being a prime example). But yeah, there's something about superhero symbolism that just intrinsically works with sports jerseys.
