Blade Runner 2019: Vol. 1: Los Angeles Artist's Edition is an upcoming collection of behind-the-scenes artwork from the first installment of the critically acclaimed Blade Runner 2019 series.
Blade Runner 2019 is the officially sanctioned sequel to the orginal 1982 Blade Runner film. The graphic novel was co-written by Michael Green, who just happened to also write the Blade Runner 2049 movie. It won the "Scribe Award for Best Graphic Novel" for 2020.
The collection consists of previously unseen artwork by Andres Guinaldo. It includes black and white artwork such as unpublished layouts, roughs, thumbnails, sketches and more. The 128 page volume collects issues #1 - #4 of the "Los Angeles" arc. Also included is an interview between Andres and the writers Michael Green (co-screenplay writer of Blade Runner 2049,Logan and Murder on the Orient Express) and Mike Johnson (New York Times-bestselling writer of Star Trek,Transformers,Superman/Batman and Picard).
