They developed their aggregate scores not only by what was trending on social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), but also by what was actually being said about those topics. According to their analysis, the most talked about subject on social media at Comic-Con wasn't superhero-related at all. As revealed above, it was CBS's
How I Met Your Mother, which came to promote their ninth and final season as well as say farewell to their beloved fans.

While this is surprising news, it does make some sense. The reaction to
HIMYM's panel was overwhelmingly positive and the show's more universal audience in addition to a bit of nostalgia may have led to its apparent Comic-Con domination.
