I went to Comic-Con the last two years and I must say it's one of the most amazing experiences if you are a fan of this type stuff. It's very overwhelming but in a good way. I'm not going this year and I'm a little bummed but I'll go back in the future.

I travelled from North Carolina and it wasn't that expensive so for those of you thinking it can't be done you can easily make it happen.

San Diego is about seven hours away from me, but I've never been to Comic-Con. I do plan to go someday.

@Marvel72 Yah, I'm not one for dressing up either. I figure a superhero T-shirt would be enough.

Take it from a 15-year veteran of attending Comic-Con: you have NO idea how easy it is to be overwhelmed there.Especially if it is your first time, because you don't really realize how large the Convention Center Exhibit Hall is until you try walking it..It's a hike if you're not prepared for it.

For that one week in July, the Con pretty much dominates San Diego.

Registration for this year opens in a couple of weeks and will probably sell out in a day due to increased demand.

Now,the big question: will CBM.com have a presence at the Con? And will there be a SOAL gathering/pub crawl/raiding party in addition?
