SDCC 2010: View From the Hall H Press Pit

Nice.

Shall I describe what was seen?
-Camera pans down on a SHIELD complex built spiraling around Mjolnir which has landed on Earth. (see IM2)
-The SHIELD structure is little more than a square built, two or three leveled catwalk like structure.
-Coulson is questioning Thor in an an interrogation room. They are surrounded by techs on computers. Thor and Coulson appear to be in a glass walled room.
-This is cut with scenes of Thor kicking the crap out of SHIELD guards. He kicks and punches, jumps on the cross bar of the structure to swing kick one guard. There is a scene outside the structure in the rain of Thor doing a drop kick on one guard in slow mow.
-There is a shot of Thor in a hospital bed dress breaking out of the bed and pushing MD's and nurses around.
-Pan in on Thor sitting in the chair in the interrogation room. He is a little cut up and brused. Coulson asks where he came from.
-Shot of space and a giant galaxy. Zoom in.
-Odin is speaking about "peace in Asgard". We see a swiping shot of Asgard. Alot of gold and stone, statues of giant Asgardians. The main stronghold or castle of Asgard looks likes several gold spires lined up one beside the next, each a little taller than the next peaking in the a sort of triangle of fingers and coming back down the other side. (kinda like a V pointing up)
-Thor enters the throne room seen in the recent pictures. He removes his helment and kneels before Odin.
-Odin is speaking about his actions.
-Cut to several scenes of Thor and the Warriors Three in a ice covered Jotenhiem(maybe). They are fighting something you can't really see what.
-scene of three frost giants emerging from the mist. They appear to be digital(?). They are completely blue/gray with designs in their skin. They have neon red eyes.
-Odin is holding Mjolnir. Loki protests "Father, please..." Odin yells for him to be silent. Odin says, "I cast you out!" pointing the hammer at Thor.
-Thor vanishes in a worm hole like shot of space.
-Shot of Thor on his back on Earth.
-Jane is trying to wake him.
-Scene of Thor shirtless in an office with Darcy, Jane and Skarsgards character. Darcy says he's pretty cut for a homeless crazy guy.
-They are driving to The crater to reclaim Mjolnir.
-Shot of it raining and Thor tries to lift the hammer but can't because he isn't worthy.
-Back in Asgard Odin is on his bed. Frigga is holding his head.
-He either dies or is about to enter the Odinsleep.
-Frigga says to Loki, "you are the heir and ruler of Asgard now."
-Cut to Loki in full costume making the Warriors 3 and Sif kneel before him.
-Shot of Heimdall close up on face. He has on the helmet and has Red/Orange eyes. He is very enraged about something.
-Shot of the mid west. Thor is looking behind the camera at something off screen. In the back ground we can see the Warriors 3 and Sif with Jane and Skarsgard. One of the W 3 is injuried and is being assisted by the others.
-Trailer is very intense at this point.
-Thor back in Asgard battling Loki.
-Trailer is very fast. Can't remember everything exactly. I'm winging it from here on...
-There is a shot of Thor throwing the Hammer and it flying of screen.
-Close ups of each character in the film...Sif, Volstag, Fandral, Hogan....etc.
-TITLE...THOR...Fade to black.
-Shot of Thor in a room in Asgard. A great fire place is burning before him. Thor appears to throw a cut in the fire as Odin is speaking.
-Fade to black
-Scene of the midwest. A dozen SHIELD agents along with Coulson are hiding behind several vehicles as something is landing in a great dust cloud. The dust clears and its a 8 or 9 ft tall Destroyer. One agents asks if its one of Starks armors. Coulson says he doesn't know. Gets on bullhorn and tries to stop the Destroyer who is walking toward them. Destroyers face plate opens on two sides and a blast of fire emerges destroying several vehicles and agents.

Also, one other question that I don't know if anyone can answer; when he throws Mjolnir, does it fly perfectly straight like in the comics, or does it rotate like it would if I threw a hammer like a normal human? This may sound odd, but this is a big part of the Thor mythos to me. That hammer always flies like an arrow in the comics so as to hit an enemy with the top of the head.

There were two quick cuts of a fight between Thor and Loki and both of them were wearing their helmets. It was hammer versus spear. In one of the clips, Thor was leaping up and then striking down on Loki, kind of the way Brad Pitt swung his sword in Troy when he kills the giant at the beginning of the movie. Lots of spark and electricity...the works!

Thor also throws the hammer directly at the screen and there is a thick after-image trail behind it that almost obscures his body.

@plan99: Dude, I thought they were all done with the cast so I turned off my camera. Ford has NEVER made an appearance at Comic-Con before so I never imagined he would be walking out. As soon as Favreau said his name, I plotzed, dropped my camera, had to scramble on the ground to pick it up before it got stepped on in the press stampede...I almost missed him walking out myself!
