Once you get past the early shenanigansin the interview below, writer Robert Kirkman and artist Charlie Adlard discuss why there aren't spinoff Walking Dead comics similar to Avengers, New Avengers, Secret Avengers, etc.---

I agree with Kirkman's statement but I feel like at some point this is inevitable in today's comic book world. And technically, there's the Michonne miniseries that ran in issues of Playboy and The Rise of the Governor novel, so the door is definitely open for a spinoff series.

I think there could be other survivors... and they could even meet up, fight and kill one group off or merge someday...

Who knows.. he IS the creator, so he could do whatever he wished.

[shrugs]

But I am glad he has done what he has.

Whats the point in having another group of survivors,it would only have the same problems the people have in the one we have already,just different people

@birdfists

Thank God I don't trade wait (like thousands of people do), because I would want to kill you right now.

Seriously, you must be a pretty miserable being if you enjoy going around spoiling things for others.

I think it would be difficult to expand the universe, but a good business move as well, and pay off. I certainly think different angles would have to come into play though.

@birdfists that was a sucky move dude, you have to 'spoiler' that stuff. Lucky I read #100 before I read that. That was a HUGE part of the comic and a shock for any long time reader.
