Thomas Jane and Tim Bradstreet set to reveal their latest comic book projects and special screening that's top-secret, but sure to incur the wrath of Hollywood

Thomas Jane, known from the hit HBO show "Hung" and for his portrayal of Frank Castle in 2004's "The Punisher," is returning to Comic Con to release his two new graphic novel titles and prove his loyalty to his fans and craft. Jane won't be staying long at the Con, as after his Saturday Night Celebrity Panel and Surprise Screening he will be forced to leave San Diego prior to suffering the wrath of Hollywood Suits who are sure to be enraged by Jane's personal screening that pays homage to the art of comic book characters and not Hollywood cash!

Before he shares his secret he will also be promoting his latest comic book projects from RAW STUDIOS along with partner Tim Bradstreet: graphic novel's DARK COUNTRY and BAD PLANET - VOLUME 2: APOCRYPHA.

Note that I will be sitting down with Thomas Jane and Tim Bradstreet on Friday, so let me know what questions you would like this punishing duo to take on! (See what I did there? "Punishing.")

Here's the information for the special screening and Panel:

Saturday Night 7/14/12
7:30p.m. - 8:30p.m
Room: 26AB

You can also check out Raw Studios booth (#5539) if you happen to be attending the con this year!

I really liked the 2004 version of The Punisher. I wished they had made a sequel to that.

Wait, I thought Jane said he's not interested in doing CBMs (even though he did the Punisher)

I have to admit I do not read comic books. But I am a huge comic book movie fan. And I loved 2004's Punisher. I would love to see him reprise the role!

That would've been awesome casting for the new Highlander movie, atleast u know Thomas can change up his acting and not just play himself in every movie he does...yes Mr. Reynolds, that was a jab at u, deal with it :]

I honestly still think Bradley Cooper should've gotten the role of Hal Jordan for GL, but i bet hes glad now that he didnt. They should have Cooper be Flash then IMO.

He really was a great Punisher, and that movie was actually very good. Problem was it took some weird liberties with the origin and locations. Warzone i feel was the opposite. Horrible film, but really nailed the look and concept of the punisher. Would love to see Jane return to a reboot of the character.

Thomas Jane rules. Was always sad that he never got to make Punisher 2. He seems like one of us.

I'm gonna be honest, I do like both punisher films, but the completely OTT violence makes me sway towards warzone. I mean c'mon how badass is that scene on the dinner table with the flare!!!

Thomas Jane should of been Jonah Hex!
He should of been The Punisher in WAR ZONE!
He most def should be Connor McCloud in Highlander!

The guy has some good acting chops, check out Stander and The Mist, great movie!

Love that he is still working on comics with some of the best in business, and hope that we'll get to see some of them adapted for the big screen soon.

Ray Stevenson was the superior Frank Castle, Jane had the better film.
Kind of like Timothy Dalton and pretty much...every other Bond film made.
He was the best Bond as far as being an accurate depiction from the novel, but had the worst films...

There really should of been a sequel to 2004 Punisher. It was a good movie, maybe it didn't do as well as say Spider-man 2 at the box office, but what did they expect?

I remember all those who were complaining about it right after it came out (oh they softened the character, it's not gory enough, he cries too much, blah blah whine whine...) Then these same people saw Punisher: War Zone and realized how great Thomas Jane's performance was and how good the 2004 movie was.

And to this day, almost a decade later, I think the 2004 film holds up pretty well.

Went to the Raw Studios site...and I like what I saw. Classic, cool, yet still up to day. These are comics and great stories. Would love to see some movies based on some of the titles they have. Loved the look of The Lycan, and Alien Planet

Punisher 2004: great Punisher in Thomas Jane, really nice cinematography, great diner scene, other great scenes to be watched repeatedly. HOWEVER, Shit script and ultimately a fail movie.

Yeah i've seen interviews with this guy...he's kinda weird...but you can tell he can't stand the industry B.S. ...some of his best work is in independent films. Stander was great...if you haven't seen it, watch it.
While Jane's Punisher had it's flaws...it was better than Warzone by far. I would've liked to have seen what they did with a sequel to Punisher 2004...they could have improved where they needed to.

And I agree completely...he should have been Connor in the new Highlander. The only part Ryan Reynolds should be allowed to play is Deadpool, because then he could do just be himself essentially (which is what he does in all his movies, but in Deadpool it would actually be appropriate haha). Was Jane up for the role though?
