DEADPOOL 2 Official Trailer Introduces Cable, Pokes Fun At JUSTICE LEAGUE, & Kicks Some Serious Ass

The official trailer (or at least what we think is the official trailer) for Deadpool 2 has arrived and it's pretty damn epic as Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) meets the time-traveling Cable (Josh Brolin) and forms his own superhero team - likely an early nod to the Drew Goddard's upcoming X-Force spinoff. There's also plenty of action-packed new footage of Domino (Zazie Beetz), Vanessa Carlysle (Morena Baccarin), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Dopinder (Karan Soni), and others to enjoy.

Considering the two-minute trailer mostly spotlights Cable, it'll be interesting to see whether or not 20th Century Fox will release a second trailer later this week, spotlighting Domino.

Enjoy the "Meet Cable" trailer below:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

I'll get shit for it, but the 4th wall breaks aren't as funny to me anymore. Having 2 in the trailer (when we could have just gotten more new footage) is frustrating.

@MNLawyer - Part of deadpool's character though, its like saying im not loving the whole spider aspect of peter parker anymore, too spidery.

@aflynn - 2 in 2 minutes (with one lasting a bit of time) is whats frustrating to me. Over the course of a 2 hour movie I'm fine with it.

@MNLawyer - Thats reasonable, his comedy can be hit or miss for me also, but thats a part of him.

@MNLawyer - I agree with you. It's true that breaking the 4wall is Deadpool's thang, but that doesnt mean he has to be doing it constantly. We got to hear him 3 times in 3 different scenes in this trailer. And he broke the wall in all three. But of course the movie will be awesome so.. we can wait to see him IN the movie.

@MNLawyer - My main concern is that Ryan Reynold's Deadpool shtick might get old fast. This is only the second movie, so it's not fair to say until it's released, but it can get annoying or obnoxious in no time. Plus when it comes to sequels with comedic material oftentimes the actors seem to get a bit ego crazy and overdue the character, and therefore lose the charm of what made it work so well to begin with. I don't think this will be the case with Reynolds as he has put in his time and found his stride in his career.

@MosquitoFarmer - @MNLawyer - I want to be wrong, but I think the magic isn't going to be repeatable. This looks like a doubling down on the first film, which can probably only be refreshing once. Guardians 2 and Thor have made the not so serious superhero film a regular thing.

I think the consensus will be AoU like. "It's good, not as good as the first one, but..."

That said, there are people who like AoU better, so I imagine there will be some here as well. The action scenes will undoubtedly be more spectacular than the first time around.

@MyBeard - My concern as well. But even with the first movie the awesome marketing never entirely conveyed what was ultimately so great about the film. That's why I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic, but this trailer gave me those concerns you mentioned.

@MosquitoFarmer - the 1st movie hasn't held up to repeat viewing for me. Hope this is different.
