It's now been confirmed that a stunt-person was killed earlier today on the set of 20th Century Fox's Deadpool sequel.

Apparently, the driver - who is believed to be female though no name has been released just yet - was riding a motorcycle when it lost control and crashed through the glass of the Shaw Tower’s ground-floor studio.

The tragic news was first reported by TMZ, and has now been confirmed by The Vancouver Police Department.

We'll update as soon as we know more.

@Solarkalel85 - People forget that the films we love have hundreds of people who work vigorously to deliver the film. We tend to forget who those people are because we are so caught up with the stars and the film itself.

This is for all those who work day and night to bring us the films we love. Thank you for all that you do and may this young lady rest in peace and find happiness in whatever comes after death.

@SonOfAGif - "a movie set is one of the most dangerous places you'll ever set foot on."

A professor of mine used to tell us that a lot. It's incredibly dangerous.

@BlackBeltJones - a few years ago I did extra work on quite a few movies down here in New Orleans and yes it is quite dangerous. cables and wires everywhere not to mention dangerous props and such.

@MonsterSquad35 - That's because more and more movies are using CGI instead of practical effects.

Stuntmen and women are the true UNSUNG heroes of filmmaking. Buddy of mine, his uncle is a stuntman; has been one for 13 years. They do not get enough credit and praise. When it comes to blockbuster filmmaking, they put their lives on the line sometimes.

R.I.P.

A female stunt driver? Maybe Domino's stunt double. I saw set photos with her on a motorcycle some days ago

On an article that has something to do with Deadpool, I sort of want to say something funny, but nothing comes to mind for this one. Cyborg replacement bodies can't get here soon enough.

Oh man. Prayers go out to her friends and family... It's not the woman who was doubling for Domino was it?

Here's a bit more detailed article:
