Deadpool Celebrates One Year Anniversary With... Toilet Paper?

It's been exactly one year since the Merc with a Mouth exploded onto the big screen and today the antihero celebrates the date in typical Deadpool fashion.

Last year Fox and the Ryan Reynolds/Tim Miller team released the beloved Deadpool movie. Universally loved by fans and critics, it exceeded all expectations and a sequel announcement wasn't far behind. While that movie is still in preproduction, we have had a whole year to rewatch and continue to enjoy Deadpool's debut film.

Between a seemingly never ending marketing team, and Ryan Reynolds himself, fans are constantly getting new media and goodies from the world of Deadpool.  Some have complained that the Marvel character is being overused but today we got a rather hilarious piece from Reynolds via Twitter to commemorate the one year anniversary.

The traditional gift for the one year anniversary is of course paper... Obviously.

What to you think? Still excited for the sequel or are you getting tired of seeing the regenerating degenerate every time you go online?

Just to get it all out of my system, before the great purge, I'm gonna say all I need to say about the future of comic-book movies.

On topic, Deadpool 2 will be amazing, but it won't be as good as the first one.

The first one actually came a lot closer to being nominated for Best Picture than I think a lot of people realise.

Does any future CBM have a shot at a Best Picture nom?
Yes, I believe Infinity War has a genuine shot at not only being nominated, but also winning. With Thanos at the centre of the movie, the film has huge dramatic potential. The external and internal conflicts that come with the Mad Titan afford the film the opportunity to really go deep and, of course, to go big.
The film would have to be a lot more self-contained than Civil War, though. They need to introduce all the elements/characters in the film in a really cool and well presented fashion. Seeing all previous Marvel movies should not be a requirement. It's high concept, there's no getting around that. Presentation is key.

Having said all of that, there will be a day when you all hate the Russos with a cruel and unapologetic passion.

But in Feige I trust.

GOTG V2 will be the jam for all of us, Thor - Ragnarok is gonna be the be all and end all of allthat is wholly awesome, all MCU movies will be at least brilliant and at most beautiful and perfect.

This may or may not hold true for Sony's Spider-man flicks. I sure hope so. We all deserve a good Spidey franchise.

I hope Marvel get Fantastic Four back and I hope Fox does better X-movies.

And I dearly hope that WB gets it's shit together, changes it's CEO and fixes the DC Films Universe. And I do mean Flashpoint.

And DC Comics better not be too sacrilegious with regards to Watchmen in their big Rebirth story.

And I fvcking hate the title of the new Star Wars movie!

THE LAST JEDI?!?!?!

FVCK YOU ALL!!!!!!!

The Last Skywalker would be so much better.

Or The Hidden Temple.

Or the Mystery of Whatever. I don't know.

ANYTHING but the re-treading repetition of the word JEDI!!!!

That is a BIG disturbance of the Force.

Fvck 'em.

I won't be posting as often, if at all, on this beloved site, anymore, so I had to get all of that off my chest, but I love you all (each and every one of you) and I'll be watching you, without commenting, silently, like a creepy stalker, masturbating.

Coincidentally, though, I have started a Twitter account, recently. I started it in order to vote for Hellboy 3, that time. Remember that article?
I don't know if I'll use it much, though. I've never been a fan of social media and I don't think the Twitter word limit will let me rant as much as I need to.

And you know I like to rant.

Peace brothers and sisters. Have fun in the safe space. I'm gonna take the red pill.
