DEADPOOL 3: Morena Baccarin Says She Has Yet To Be Contacted For The Merc's Third Movie

Rumour has it that Deadpool 3 will pit the Merc with the Mouth against the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, but regardless of what form it takes, actress Morena Baccarin has yet to hear about the movie...

Despite being killed off in Deadpool 2, Wade Wilson's use of time-travel brought his fiancee Vanessa back to life, and that obviously leaves the door open for the character to return in the planned third film being developed by Marvel Studios (where we could finally see her finally discover her mutant powers and become Copycat).

Unfortunately, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actress Morena Baccarin confirmed that she's yet to hear anything about the third instalment of the Deadpool franchise.

"I have no idea," she admitted when asked if she has a bigger role in Deadpool 3. "Apparently, they're still writing it. I genuinely don't know. I have not been asked, or approached. There's been no conversations yet, so I'm waiting with bated breath."

Baccarin added that she hopes her role is "as big as possible" while noting that Ryan Reynolds "will always be the lead," but that, "I would love to be right by his side."

After barely appearing in Deadpool 2, the actress pointed out that working on the first movie was, "one of the best times of my life. It was so fun to be on that set, and it was creative, and fulfilling, and enjoyable all around. [Reynolds] is the best person to work with, and so sweet, and so damn funny it hurts."

Are you hoping to see Baccarin make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

So that after credit stuff was canon. If it happens then either Deadpool 2 will be rendered pointless of they will just act like the second movie happened the same way, only difference now being the she is alive

@dracula - I feel like cable and domino can still return. Unless marvel doesn't want to. It's odd how they ended that movie, the "Deadpool is dying" part was cheesy and we all knew he'll live. And they undid most of the movie with the time travel.

I guess I must have walked away or turned off Deadpool 2 before the post-credits both times I watched it, because I didn't realize this was a thing. Thanks to YouTube, I'm in the loop again.

She has taken on a good amount of comic book roles
Leslie on Gotham
Gideon on The Flash (although not Legends Of Tomorrow)
Cheetah on Batman The Brave and The Bold
Black Canary on Justice League Unlimited
Vanessa in Deadpool
Talia Al Ghul in the DCAMU.

Wonder if she will ever get her comic powers, time that someone gets her in on the action.

@dracula - Jesus, now that you list it, she really has been in a lot of comic book roles. I think I remember an interview of her saying she's not even into superheroes that much, lol.

Please Marvel, let her be more than just the love interest. There's so many awesome female characters in the superhero genre. So I really want that love interest role to expand.
