DEADPOOL 3 Will Reportedly Shoot Under The Working Title "Tidal Wave"

Deadpool 3 is scheduled to begin shooting in a couple of weeks, and the working title of the Merc With a Mouth's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut has reportedly been revealed as "Tidal Wave."

Barring any unforeseen delays (the script was finished a good while ago, so we don't anticipate the ongoing WGA strike being an issue), Deadpool 3 will begin shooting in about two weeks, and we may now know the threequel's working title.

The Cosmic Circus is reporting that The Merc With a Mouth's (Ryan Reynolds) Marvel Cinematic Universe debut will film under the title "Tidal Wave," and will also use the banner "Richmond Street Productions."

Could this provide any hints relating to the plot of the movie? It's difficult to tell, as these working titles usually have very little to do with the actual project being shot, and often allude to obscure references or inside jokes. Then again, there have been instances where the working title proved to be a massive clue that only became evident after people had seen the film in question.

The source speculates that "Tidal Wave" might have something to do with an event that occurred in the pages of Ultimatum, when Magneto unleashes a Tsunami as revenge for The Ultimates killing his children, but we'd say that's a pretty big leap!

Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Rob Delaney (Peter), and Stefan Kapicic (Colossus) will all return as their respective characters, and they'll be joined by Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and franchise newcomers Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), whose roles are still under wraps.

Plot details also remain a mystery for now, but Wade and Wolvie are expected to find themselves (trapped?) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A recent rumor claimed that Loki's TVA, including Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Miss Minutes, will be involved.

We have also been led to believe that Wade's MCU debut will be far more integral to Phase 5 and beyond than we first realized.

Shawn Levy will direct Deadpool 3, which is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.

A period piece, the forgotten storm surge on the Mississippi gulf coast during Katrina, think the Equalizer 2, plus Hairy and Lloud.

I need more set photos, interviews, first looks and solid news about CBMs in my life...

why does Hollywood seem to withhold the good stuff from us?!?

You'd think we'd be able to have a pretty steady flow of updates with all this "superhero fatigue" going on...between DC and Marvel, I expect more to keep me interested!

Expecting Hugh Jackman to post something the secondly he's back in costume though! He's a champ!

I'd be a lot more excited if Shawn Levy wasn't directing. Still going to see it Day 1.

Deadpool 2 gets a lot more hate on here than it deserves. Movie's funnier than A LOT of CBMs.

My only complaint of the film is that it had a weird brown tint. It was ugly to look at.💪

It was ok. Felt like a streaming film. The overall story is kinda retarded and there's moments where you're like: why didn't he just hypnotize this person, would've been easier😂💁.

Its a solid 5.5. I feel like this premise could've been something special with a bigger budget and better script

Nice. Will be a solid flick to watch on a rainy day. Robert Rodriguez hasn't made a good/great movie since Sin City IMO.

Think I'm seeing Fast 10 on Thursday... lol.

@regularmovieguy - not a big levy fan but seeing jackman back is enough to get me interested. Always loved him in the role, just hope it doesn’t hurt Logan’s legacy. Also having tom womsgam as the villain is always a plus (can’t believe we only got 2 more succession episodes left 😭)

@tmp3

Losing Succession and Barry in the same night is going to kill me. They have really knocked it out of the park with both of these final seasons.

@regularmovieguy - hader’s directing in barry is next level good. The succ/barry two-hander has had my jaw on the floor for 90 minutes pretty much every sunday night, two shows ending at the height of their powers
