DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Easter Egg Confirms [SPOILER] Survived Run-In With Alioth In The Void

A newly spotted Easter Egg in Deadpool & Wolverine's post-credits scene appears to confirm that another Variant in The Void managed to survive their run-in with Alioth. Find the spoilery details here...

Deadpool & Wolverine plays fast and loose with the Multiverse's rules, something that's evident from the movie's Logan Variant making a home for himself on Earth-100005 (that world's Wolverine should still be alive seeing as it's 2024 and Logan is set in 2029).

The movie ends with X-23, rescued from The Void, joining Deadpool and Wolverine for a family dinner, though we never learn what became of Blade, Elektra, and Gambit.

It's strongly hinted that the TVA intervened and sent them back home, though that appears to have been confirmed by a leaked clip from the threequel's post-credits scene. As you can see on one of the TVA's monitors, a very much alive Gambit is shown either back in his own reality or examining the wreckage from the fight with Cassandra Nova's forces.

He did suggest he'd been born in The Void, so perhaps Channing Tatum's card-dealing Cajun is a character we'll catch up with in a future Multiverse story?

"These pictures are almost 10 years apart to the day," the actor recently said on X"I sat in the audience when Ryan Reynolds showed his first peek of Deadpool to the world and I think I ran backstage right after and found him and I think I just hugged him and was like, 'Holy shit, you did it, man. It’s perfect.'"

"I didn’t know him really at all back then. But since then I can say that there is almost no one that has had my back in this industry more than
[Ryan]. I thought I had lost Gambit forever,"
he continued. "But he fought for me and Gambit. I will owe him probably forever. Cause I’m not sure how I could ever do something that would be equal to what this has meant to me."

See what you make of this newly discovered Deadpool & Wolverine Easter Egg in the X post below.

Shawn Levy directs Deadpool & Wolverine, which stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Matthew Macfadyen, and Dafne Keen. The movie is written by Ryan Reynolds & Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick & Zeb Wells & Shawn Levy.

Kevin Feige, Reynolds, Levy and Lauren Shuler Donner produce with Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, Simon Kinberg and Jonathon Komack Martin serving as executive producers.

Deadpool & Wolverine is now playing in theaters.

Good. This means we may get him back at some point.

@tBHzHomer -
Certainly will. The Mouse is looking for new material something awful. Most of the characters they introduced since Endgame have not captured the imagination of audiences and the one that did, Shang Chi, was pushed to the side.

Truth be told, when Wade in the end requested that he had some friends that he wanted to have a second chance, my first thought was those four he had just prior left in The Void, not Vanessa and co. (though that obviously makes more sense).

@IAmAHoot - My take as well, although they haven't really showed how things could be saved from Alioth

@IAmAHoot - you aren’t wrong. He did mean the people in the void, but since I imagine the party scene at the end was filmed before the re-shoots added in people like gambit, Electra, etc. that’s why they aren’t in there at Wade‘s apartment. Only X-23. They should’ve added in a line stating that the others made their own timelines.

@IAmAHoot - didn't B-15 say they were saving Deadpool's timeline? That would mean his people were still there. I assumed he was talking about the 4 from the Void.

@tBHzHomer - She said they had saved Earth-10005, and I too assumed he was referring to those in The Void. But when he was having the gathering with all of his old friends, I took it as that second chance from Hunter B-15 was for his friends to join him in Earth-616, since the point was him not being able to return one way or another (and the Fox-verse still ending). Also cause he couldn't strictly have known if those four were still alive or not.

We have a beautiful multiverse to play around with these days, so I'm glad that the heroes we finally got back (or for the first time in Gambits case) are still around for multiverse appearances. I know some folks hate the multiverse but I'm just in love with the idea of having Blade maybe show up in some completely crazy scenario.

Throwing this out there: what if Sony licenses out Blade for a deal with Marvel and has him fight Jared Leto in "Morbius vs. Blade" in the SPMUC? I hated Morbius as well as most of their Spider adjacent movies but that concept alone makes me all giddy.

In a perfect world we could have "Avengers" type team-up movies with so many legacy heroes in their own universe. Imagine "Avengers 2000" starring Tobey Maguire, Ben Affleck, Ioan Gruffud, Jessica Alba, Wesley Snipes, Michael Chiklis, Nicolas Cage, Thomas Jane and Chris Evans.

Yeah it was funny, but definitely not a gambit characteristic. Seems more like something Reynold's Deadpool would say.

That’s cool!!.

I’m surprised how much I enjoyed Tatum’s Gambit as someone who was unsure about him in the role when he was going to do the movie…

Sure his accent and characterization was a bit exaggerated for comedic effect (who’s your dialect coach , The Minions!!) but he still had the swagger and was given moments to be a true badass aswell.

I wouldn’t mind seeing him again , likely in Secret Wars!!.

@TheVisionary25 - It occured to me earlier, even though they made it clear in the movie, that Johnny Storm was suppose to be part of that team. Would have been epic to see him with the lineup, but I wouldn't change what they did.
